With the increasing hype about the standalone Spiderman movie, the studio started contemplating about the possible villain in the first installment. They finalized on making first spiderman movie based on “Spiderman Homecoming” storyline with Vulture possibly as the big villain. It’s possible that Michael Keaton may end up playing him as there have been constant negotiations between him and the studio. He exited from negotiations last year over money issues, as Robert Downey Jr. was cast and studio offered him less as they had less money at their disposal.

When this comic was launched in the 1990’s, the idea was to re-invent spiderman character which totally aligns with the present vision of Sony Pictures. Vulture is likely to be a villain wearing a suit which gives him the ability to fly at increased strength, built from the remains of Chitauri (a race of extraterrestrial shape-shifters) technology from the battle of New York. He will also employ the help of a villain called Tinkerer to make the suit, in comics he is known to be a man with a penchant to make spectacular mechanical devices. In addition to this, Tony Stark will act as a mentor to Peter Parker in the film and surprise him with cool gadgets. We know that he may give him a new upgraded suit with likely spidey web wings and web-shooters that display classic spiderman signal. The movie is expected to hit theaters on July 6, 2017.
