Robert Downey Jr. fans and the whole Iron Man fans are waiting to see RDJ in Iron Man 4. Iron Man character is always special for Robert Downey Jr. He started his film career as a child artist and had done numerous roles and many of them were critically acclaimed. But the bitter truth is that he never had a single blockbuster movie under his name until 2008. It all changed with the release of Iron Man in 2008 and it became the very first blockbuster in his entire career. From the actor who never had a single blockbuster film until 2008 to the highest paid actor in Hollywood. This is called real achievement and not every actor can even dream of it.
The biggest news is that Mel Gibson is said to direct Iron Man 4. Originally Shane Black, who was the director of Iron Man 3, was roped in to direct the film. But he dropped the offer due to early made commitments. But he will continue as the writer of the film. Shane Black didn’t make any official confirmation regarding Mel Gibson directing Iron Man 4 but he said that Robert Downey Jr. wants Mel Gibson to direct the film. He is very well aware of the fact that Iron Man 4 will be safe in the hands of an experienced director like Mel Gibson.
Initially, it was decided to cast a woman villain in Iron Man 4 instead of a male villain. But later the plan was changed and we would be able to see a male villain. Shane Black also said that the entire script was changed for it. There are also some reports predicting the possibility of two villains.
In a recent interview, Robert Downey Jr. said that “he feels like doing one more” which clearly suggests that he is ready to do Iron Man 4. Everyone is eagerly waiting for the official confirmation regarding the lead actor of Iron Man 4 and the fans strongly believe that they would be able to see Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man in the fourth part. If things go well as expected, we could witness the deadly combo of Mel Gibson and Robert Downey Jr. on screens.
