Metal is a genre of music, not everybody enjoys. But those who do, find it as something totally out of the world. Since not everybody understands it, the ones who do, come across all sorts of weird problems.
We’re often seen as crazy people
People often think that there is something wrong with us. Most people end up in a headache after having heard a metal song. The ones who enjoy it enter a completely calm and soothing aura. That troubles the others as they feel that we are weird since we enjoy something that tends to harm most people.
Explanations are inevitable
We often end up explaining that even this genre has got loads of meaning to it. People tend to believe that metal songs are so harsh to be understood that they have no meaning hidden to them. It is extremely difficult to make them understand that a lot of emotion resides in them. Probably way more than any other existing genre.
Aggression is assumed as a part of our personality
We are sometimes mistaken as aggressive people. It is a genre that has a great deal of music to it. The depth of metal songs is something not everybody can understand. The music of those songs has a story hidden to it in itself. The lyrics add the words to the stories told by the music. Heavy metal and usual metal are usually the only parts known to most. Soft metal is not known by much. As a result of which, people who regularly listen to metal are considered as aggressive ones.
“Girls don’t listen to metal.” Is a bias
It is assumed that girls do not listen to metal songs. Guys are often taken for granted when known by new people that they have an interest in metal, even if they have the same, however, the girls who love the genre get a lot of weird reactions as to how unusual it is to find a girl who listens to it.
Reasoning to why we love is beyond your understanding
Lastly, we end up giving reasons for our interest in the genre. Since nobody will ever understand the reasons as to why we love it so much, we stop caring as such. The depth of everything is not understood by everyone. It is extremely hurtful to see people criticize what means so much to us. It is the rescuer, the escape at most times. It leaves us with a choice to let the world be and continue to live in our own little world.

She loves to play with words and twist them as much as she can, that is her way of writing. But mostly, she loves creating suspense in her writing. She would never let the real story come out until the last part of her writings.
