When the third season began, the show-runners confirmed that season 3 will be based on popular comic series “Secret Warriors”. The Secret Warriors comic book storyline has Nick Fury left, right & centre, but the TV show has chosen a different path. The reason why Nick Fury assembled secret warriors was to take on Norman Osborn’s Dark Avengers. He co-opted S.H.I.E.L.D and Avengers when he was given the charge of entire American Superhuman machine post-Skrull invasion. In the season 3, Coulson has embarked on a search for more super-powered people across the world to combat extraneous threats, right now he has Skye and Lincoln on his side.
In the latest episode, the Hive (Hydra God) revealed his face at the gathering of the so-called “inner circle”. He has tiny organisms that are parts of himself which he use to devour and control people like in the comics except the fact that they are much smaller on the TV show. Daisy and Lincoln were off to South Dakota to meet someone who may know something about how to fight ancient inhuman, but on their way back they received an alert that the S.H.I.E.L.D’s Qwinjet has been compromised and the entire team is under attack. Lincoln suggested Daisy to launch a secret warriors initiative, join forces with fellow in-humans, band together and banish Hive for good.
