NBA Championships: Why Golden State Warriors is a Team to Look Out For?

The Golden State Warriors the reigning champs who are fondly called as the Dub Nation by their fans represent San Francisco state of the United States which is also called as the Golden State and hence their name. The Warriors have been showing great improvement in their performance and have one of the best teams in the NBA. The other teams of the NBA better watch out because our Warriors are coming big and loud to defeat all of them.

NBA 2014-15 Champs:

A few years ago Golden State Warriors were in a loosing spree and were headed towards the south. But as we all know dark clouds don’t hang around forever. And the Warriors are one such example. Under the guidance of Head Coach Steve Kerr the Warriors completed their regular season with a record of 67-15, the best in the league and the best in their franchise history. The Warriors also finished with a home record of 39-2, the second best in NBA history. After having such an amazing start they advanced to the NBA finals for the first time since 1975. And as an icing to the cake they defeated the Cleveland Caveliers (the team with LeBron) to win the NBA championship 2014-15 earning their forth NBA title after 40 long years.

MVP Stephen Curry:

Now would be a good time to tell you that the Most Valuable Player Award that is given every year in the NBA was bagged by the Warriors’ Point Guard and captain STEPHEN CURRY. He was selected by the Warriors in the year 2009 and fortunately is still with them. During the 2012-13 season he set the NBA record for three pointers made in a regular season with 272. On April 9th during the 2014-15 season Curry broke his own for the number of three pointers by knocking down his 273rd three pointer and making his family, friends and most importantly his FANS proud.

SPLASH BROTHERS:

The Splash Brothers are a duo of American Basketball players: Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson who play professionally for the Golden State Warriors. Both of their dads were basketball players. They led the Warriors to victory in the last NBA. In 2012-13 the duo combined to make 483 three-pointers the most ever by an NBA duo. It is safe to say that the SPLASH BROTHERS can easily splash their way through the game sending a strong message to other teams that they are LOUD PROUD WARRIORS.

Steve Kerr:

Right and proper guidance – that is the thing that take people places. Well lucky for us the Warriors have a very good coach who are guiding them to great places. After the Warriors got Kerr they went on to win the NBA championship. That definitely adds a gold feather to Kerr’s cap. Back in his days when he was playing he was a 6 time NBA champion.

Breaking Records:

The list of records that were broken by the Warriors is insane. Right from having the best start in NBA history and Curry breaking his own record of three pointers and the Splash Brothers making the most three pointers etc. Along with their team mates Green, Iguodala, Barnes and other strong players the Warriors have a very strong and powerful team. And they are in the right road- the road to reach great heights!
