Loki Finale Raises New Questions About Jane Foster In Thor 4

The Disney+ series Loki has finally brought the madness to the MCU, i.e., the multiverse. The finale showed Sylvie killing He Who Remains and unleashing the plethora of timelines from the Sacred Timeline. This will definitely have a major impact on the future of the MCU and the upcoming series and movies. One such Phase 4 project is Thor: Love and Thunder that the Disney+ series can directly impact. Thor: Love and Thunder is all ready to bring back Chris Hemsworth’s Thor Odinson on the big screen. But he is not the only Thor in its fourth installment. Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster is all set to play the Mighty Thor. But Loki raises some serious questions about Jane Foster in Love and Thunder. Take a look.

Questions About Jane Foster In Thor 4

Loki finale finally unleashed the multiverse into the MCU. So, every upcoming project automatically becomes a suspect to this madness. As a result, fans have wondered if the Jane Foster that we’ll see in Thor: Love and Thunder would be a variant of the God of Thunder or not. But, the comics do not really support this theory. She has a very powerful story about how she becomes Thor. And that could be followed up to a certain extent in the current MCU.

In the comics, Jane is diagnosed with breast cancer. but then again the Mjolnir finds her and deems her to be worthy.  Due to the ‘Original Sin’ storyline, Thor Odinson did not find himself to be worthy. As a result, the mantle was passed onto Jane Foster. Eventually, the two managed to coexist as Thor together. Now, this is something that the MCU can incorporate, and that too without the multiverse shenanigans. Thor: Love and Thunder recently wrapped filming in Sydney. And we will finally get to know where Jane was all this while and why she’s back now.

Natalie Portman’s Mighty Thor suit appears to be heavily inspired by her comic counterpart. Earlier, set photos by Natalie Portman Updates showed Jane Foster in the air, preparing for something legendary. It looks like this is the moment where she becomes the Mighty Thor. So it still remains a question as to how the multiverse will actually come into play if we consider Jane Foster solely.

Loki Finale Could Bring Another Variant Of Thor

Thor Love And Thunder Introduce Beta Ray Bill

So let’s just assume that Jane isn’t a variant at all. But apart from her, Thor: Love and Thunder can actually introduce Beta Ray Bill into the MCU finally. Ray Bill is an alien champion from another champion who wields the power of Thor in the comics. And if I talk about his history with Thor in the comics, then it’s massive. And it is something that the MCU can explore effortlessly.

Considering that the multiverse is now in play, Marvel can actually simplify his origins. Beta Ray Bill can be introduced from another corner of the multiverse. We have already seen his face on the tower of the Grandmaster in Thor: Ragnarok. But then again, if not anything, then maybe the multiverse can answer why Thor, Odin, and Loki (played by Luke Hemsworth, Sam Neill, and Matt Damon, respectively) have a larger role in the film.

Villain Of Thor 4

Christian Bale is playing Gorr the God Butcher in Thor: Love and Thunder. In the comics, Gorr lost faith in the Gods after the tragic death of his family. But upon discovering that Gods do exist, he vowed to kill them all as punishment for letting him go through the pain of losing his loved ones and not stepping in to prevent such tragedies.

We will get to see Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher. He will face off against Chris Hemsworth’s Thor in the fourth Marvel Studios film bearing the god of thunder’s name. Bale earlier decided that he won’t play any superhero role. But he has changed his mind regarding Gorr, and he’s also gone bald for the role.

Of course, Gorr will be a result of too much makeup and heavy CGI. Executive producer Brad Winderbaum earlier shared that elements of Gorr were embraced for Cate Blanchett’s Hela. It will definitely be one hell of a ride when Gorr comes face to face against Thor and how much he actually differs from Hela. And yes, the idea of the multiverse is also present. So Thor: Love and Thunder would be anything but vague.
