Avengers 4 is currently going through its reshoots period, and soon it will end up in the post-production stage, which will go on till the coming March. What we know about Avengers 4 till now has only been apparent because of all the set photos that made their way to the internet. Ant-Man being long Cap, Tony, and Bruce, a revisit to the set of the first Avengers movie with Thor and Loki and what not. Recently, we also got a look at Steve Rogers on the sets during the reshoots along with Scott Lang and Natasha.
It seems that the title of Avengers 4 will also be revealed through one of these set photo leaks! Talking about the leaks, the looks of many Avengers just made their way to the net and we have now seen the new scaly suit of Captain America, we have an idea about how Ronin and Iron Man are going to look, and the new suit of War Machine also looks pretty dope.
Apart from that, a new Instagram post of actor Benedict Wong has people surprised. He recently took to Instagram posting an image of him sitting in the make-up chair getting prosthetics removed from the back of his head. Have a look:
Why exactly would he need prosthetic is a question that everyone seems to be asking. He is just a Wizard, and now he has a bigger responsibility in the absence of Doctor Strange, which is to protect the Sanctum. So, nothing actually confirms why the actor would be actually in need of prosthetics. So the theory that now arises is that Wong would actually turn out to be a Skrull!
These damn shape shifting Aliens will have deeply infiltrated this planet if this were to be the case. From General Ross to Wong, the Skrulls have held in very high levels. Because of this little fact, another theory arises that this was the reason why Nick Fury called Captain Marvel just now. We could assume that he had a major involvement with the Skrull Wars in the first Captain Marvel movie, so seeing the disintegration, he calls in Captain Marvel, thinking that this is another invasion of the Skrulls and immediately beeps Carol. He could not have known that it was Thanos who cause the deaths.
This could mean that the Skrulls may be involved in Avengers 4 as well. Now, before you go ahead and start thinking that Avengers 4 may be titled “Secret Invasion”, let me stop you as the Skrulls would be having a pretty small role setting up a Secret Invasion Storyline for Phase 4. The villain still would be Thanos and this would just be a plotting for the future.
The reason Skrulls may be involved in Avengers 4 is because of what happened in the comics. Right after the infamous Kree-Skrull wars in the comics, the events of Infinity Gauntlet took place. Following that began the Secret Invasion run, where the Skrulls invaded Earth thinking that the Kree and Earth are involved with the loss of life on their planet.
So, the massive finger snap in Infinity War would have surely wiped out half of their population as well, leading them to believe that Earth and Kree were involved and thus they start plotting the Invasion slowly.
This is where Hawkeye’s story arc could come into the picture. He may have been assigned on a mission to hunt down the Yakuza and his new alias is actually Ronin. It may turn out that the Yakuza could be the Skrulls because Marvel hired extras who were comfortable with having face prosthetics in the movie. So, similar could be the case with Wong.
Earth’s mystical boundaries are also not safe then because Doctor Strange is gone, and so it’s the Ancient One. Wong-Skrull himself could lead an invasion to the Earth. So let’s see what happens when Avengers 4 comes out on May 3, 2019.
