New GOTG 3 Trailer Teases Another Superhero Team

Marvel fans, get ready for some exciting news! The new GOTG 3 trailer, has just dropped and it looks like we’re in for a treat. The trailer confirms that the OG Guardians team from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is making a comeback, along with some new faces. As we get closer to the film’s release, Marvel Studios has been ramping up the promotional material, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come.

The latest teaser trailer features Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord standing in front of the OG Guardians team, including Michael Rosenbaum’s Martinex and the yet-to-be-cast Krugarr, along with a couple of other heroes making their MCU debuts. The team was first introduced in the second mid-credits scene of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, under the leadership of Sylvester Stallone’s Stakar Ogord. Martinex and Krugarr were part of the team alongside Miley Cyrus’ Mainframe, Michelle Yeoh’s Aleta Ogord, and Ving Rhames’ Charlie-27.

It’s not a surprise to see the OG Guardians team back in play for Guardians 3, but it looks like they may be playing a bigger role this time around. Stallone has even teased that he’ll have an even larger role to play in the film, although the new trailer doesn’t clarify exactly how he and his team will fit into the plot. Fans are curious to know if the rest of the team from Vol. 2 will be back for this new outing, especially Michelle Yeoh’s Aleta Ogord, given her status as two MCU characters including her role in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Only time will tell exactly how Stallone’s team of Guardians takes their place in Guardians 3, but with a franchise-record runtime confirmed, there should be ample opportunity for them to shine under director James Gunn’s watch. The trailer also features Elizabeth Debicki, who is making her first MCU appearance in six years, confirming her return to the Guardians franchise. She will be interacting with the powerful Adam Warlock, who made his first appearance in a mid-credits scene from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

While Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has faced some criticism for its mismanaged marketing and inconsistent performances, fans are still eagerly anticipating the film’s release. With the return of the OG Guardians and some new heroes in tow, it looks like we’re in for an epic ride. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to debut in theaters on May 5th, so mark your calendars and get ready for an action-packed adventure in the MCU!
