7 God Killers From Comics
The world of comics is one of the most peculiar in the most profound ways possible. We say this because this world is both eccentric and interesting at the same time. No matter how absurd the stories might look on paper, they can be realized in wonderful ways on the pages of a comic book. Think about it for a moment, when we read these stories we are reading about God-like beings living like humans, the only difference is that they are called superheroes. Moreover, some of these characters are certified universe busters. So here is a list of God killers from comics. Take a look:-
Superman
Superman is one of the strongest comic characters to ever grace the pages of DC comics. The last son of Krypton is capable of a lot of destruction but he also has a habit of holding back in almost event fight that he ends up in. However, in Injustice Year One, Superman lost Lois and his unborn child. This made him realize that killing the villains was the only way to make sure that they would never hurt anyone else. So when Darkseid’s son Kaliback invades the Earth, Superman doesn’t hesitate from killing him. However, he does take a moment to explain his position to Barry.
Red Hulk
Thunderbolt Ross recently received the power to transform into the Red Hulk. Somehow, he also received the power to absorb his mustache into his face during this time, but only when he transforms. The Red Hulk was put in competition with the old Defenders, featuring the Hulk and Doctor Strange. Thunderbolt’s Hulk killed most of them but the Grandmaster brought them back to life for his amusement. Scorned by this act Thunderbolt Ross’ Red Hulk attacks the Grandmaster and pummels him into the ground, just because he has the power to do so.
Batman
Darkseid once used his immense powers to send a bullet back in time that had the power to kill Orion himself. Darkseid could have never guessed that Batman could get his hands on the bullet and use it against him. This is exactly what Bruce Wayne did in Final Crisis. He hits Darkseid with the bullet, effectively ending his life, and in turn, gets hot by the Omega Sanctions which send Bruce Wayne back in time. This is one of the most famous panels of DC.
Void
Void is a character of pure malice and evil in the Marvel multiverse. After one of the cycles of Ragnarok, Loki was arranging plans to put Asgard under siege. He almost had everything together and even managed to get Thor to kill his grandfather in the street. But he did one thing incorrectly. Loki tried to intimidate the void who immediately decided to kill Loki in an instance. All of that planning, and for what!
Dr Doom
Viktor Von Doom is one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel multiverse. The character knows how to use Sorcerery and has one of the greatest minds in the comic World. He uses this intellect of his to use the shards of Multiple Man to not just kill one God but kill a lot of them simultaneously. Doom did this to be able to create the Battleworld and to save reality from following apart
Black Racer Flash
Black Racer Flash is a combination of Black Racer and The Flash that came out of The Darkseid War. After gaining the powers of a God, Black Racer Flash was given the job of destroying Darkseid once and for all. At this point Black Racer Flash proceeded to punch a hole in Darkseid’s chest effectively ending their battle before it had even begun, making him one of the most notorious God Killers in the comics.
Surtur
During The Mighty Thor run in recent years, we were introduced to a character who was forging a sword for a long time. Only when the war was upon us did we find out that this was none other than Surtur of Muspelheim. Moreover, the fire demon uses this sword to attack and lay waste to Asgard. This marks one of those rare moments in the Marvel multiverse where Loki, Thor, and Odin lay their conflicts to rest to save Asgard but it is not enough. In the end, Odin had to sacrifice himself to keep Surtur down
