All Doctor Strange Variants Will Be Key To The Ancient One’s Prophecy

A lot of interesting new things are set to happen in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel. Fans have analyzed every second of the full-length trailer that we got to see in order to get an idea about the movie. While it is clear that the movie will play an important role in the MCU, it will have an essential role to play in the arc of Doctor Strange too. Fans will get to have a much clearer idea of why he is given the title of Sorcerer Supreme in the narrative. We will also get to a lot of renditions of him as variants from across the multiverse. All Doctor Strange variants who will be appearing in Multiverse of Madness might fulfill the Ancient One’s prophecy.

Multiverse of Madness

There is a lot of hype surrounding Doctor Strange 2. With each new detail about the movie, the hype only increases. Fans can now see that the characters are undergoing some serious changes and we will get to see a whole new level of Multiversal chaos. This became obvious with the fact that the movie featured variants of some of the major characters in the movie. Not only that but the full-length trailer actually featured the voice of Patrick Stewart. This detail has been indicated as the possibility of Charles Xavier appearing in the movie.

Patrick Stewart actually ended up confirming his appearance in the movie. The actor had stated earlier that he doesn’t know regarding this appearance in the movie. But he has actually stated the truth now as he said in a recent interview:

I actually didn’t recognize my own voice, it sounded different. Whether I had a cold or something at the time, I don’t know. But I was astonished, and all they saw was the back of my shoulder, and I think my earlobe, nothing else. There would have been so many connections made. But, uh, it pleased me.

All Doctor Strange Variants

While Charles Xavier appearing in the movie is going to be exciting, the movie will also see a lot of Doctor Strange variants. The first teaser in the post-credits scene for No Way Home revealed the presence of Sinister Strange. It also had another variant with Defender Strange appearing for a short while in the trailer. But things were taken to a whole new level when we saw that we will get to see Zombie Strange in the movie. This variant was last seen in the Disney+ series What If…?. But that’s not all considering a leak from the movie stated that we will get to see Strange Supreme too.

Ancient One’s Prophecy

The Ancient One ends up appearing in Avengers: Endgame, when Bruce Banner goes to her, take the Time Stone. Initially, she denies the request of handing the Stone to her, but she is convinced when she finds that Strange handed the Stone to Thanos. She states, “Strange is meant to be the best of us.” Here the “us” could be a reference to the other sorcerers in the MCU and the Master of the Mystic Arts. Earlier she had given Strange a lesson by pointing out a problem that limited the character from his greatness. She tells him, “It’s not about you” and that made him aware of his arrogance and self-centered persona.

All Doctor Strange variants

All these variants appearing in the movies might pave the way for a stark realization for the character. We got to see Loki come across a lot of his variants in the Disney+ series Loki and that actually gave the character a chance for self-reflection. The very same thing could end up happening in Doctor Strange 2. Strange actually had a moment of arrogance when he tried the spell that caused the multiversal chaos in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The character might end up having a completely different moment of realization and it could pave the way for him to become the Sorcerer Supreme.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be released in theaters on May 6.
