Doctor Strange 2 Poster Reveals 2 More Cameos

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness might be the biggest MCU project after Endgame. So far, fans of the franchise were excited with the events that unfolded in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The movie gave us a hint of what the Multiverse could do but the true chaos will only be seen in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel. The recent trailer revealed a lot of exciting details regarding the project with a lot of new characters appearing and being teased. Fans are going through every single detail from the trailer and it seems that there is a lot more that is still available to be seen. It seems that the Doctor Strange 2 poster features clues for two more cameos in the upcoming multiversal movie.

Multiverse of Madness

The latest trailer for Doctor Strange 2 has to be the biggest thing to come out of MCU so far this year. There was a lot of excitement regarding this project considering it was gonna dive into the Multiverse. The last time we saw Multiverse being used, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Men ended up making an appearance in the movie. That was not all considering Tom Hardy’s Venom from Sony’s Spider-Man Universe also appeared in the movie in a cameo. This only paves the way for a lot more characters from the past Marvel projects making their cameos in the movie.

One of the biggest rumors regarding an appearance in Doctor Strange 2 was related to the X-Men characters. According to the rumor, either Charles Xavier or Magneto were going to appear in the movie. The trailer ended up featuring a voice that absolutely matches Patrick Stewart’s voice. This was instantly linked to the fact that Stewart might end up reprising his role as Charles Xavier from the 20th Century Fox X-Men movies. Not only that, but the trailer also features another mysterious character going against Wanda and it could be either Superior Iron Man or a variant of Captain Marvel (Maria Rambeau!!!). But it seems there are even more cameos in the movie.

Characters In The Doctor Strange 2 Poster

The poster for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse in Madness was released along with the trailer for the movie. The poster is a clear hint at the multiversal chaos we are going to witness in the movie. It features Doctor Strange in his new costume at the Sanctum Sanctorum in front of the iconic window. There are shards of glass from the broken window spread all over and Strange is trying to fend off the multiverse with the world-shattering around him. Upon looking closer one can see the various versions of the different characters who will be appearing in the movie. But what one might have missed is that this poster also references two other characters who might have a cameo in the movie.

Captain Carter In Doctor Strange 2

Ever since it was announced that the Disney+ animated series What If…? was gonna be canon to the MCU, fans were wondering when we will get to see those characters appear in other movies. Well it might not be very late considering the poster for Doctor Strange 2 makes a reference to a character from the series. The very first episode of What If…? featured Captain Carter which was Peggy Carter after getting Super Soldier Serum instead of Stever Rogers. The episode had her own shield with the flag of Britain instead of America on it. This very shield appears in one of the shards of glass. It’s a very tiny detail but this might have interesting consequences as there was a rumor about the character appearing in this movie.

Deadpool Cameo?

Another interesting appearance in the movie could be the Merc-with-the-Mouth, Deadpool himself. Fans have figured out after a very close look that Deadpool might have sneaked in one of the shards of the broken glass. It won’t be surprising to see him appear in the movie because based on existing details other Fox characters will be appearing in the movie anyway. Plus, the third Deadpool movie is already under development and it will be canon to the MCU. It would be interesting to see how MCU brings Deadpool from his universe to the MCU.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be released in theaters worldwide on May 6.
