The wizarding world of Harry Potter is still going on with all of its narratives focussing on some narratives and we now have a major link with the Harry Potter saga. Now that Dumbledore has arrived in the Fantastic Beasts movies we can be sure that there will be a lot of interesting arcs to open up and explore. The third film in the Fantastic Beasts movies is supposed to explore the story of Dumbledore and explore his past with Grindlewald. We found out that according to Gellert Grindlewald, Corvus Lestrange is actually Aurelius Dumbledore. If what Gellert Grindlewald said is actually true, then a possible Fantastic Beasts 3 theory suggests that The Secret of Dumbledore might reveal that the mother of Dumbledore is still alive secretly.
The Crimes Of Grindelwald
The second film in the Fantastic Beasts series of movies saw some of the most interesting plot twists and narratives. Grindelwald reveals Credence’s identity as Aurelius Dumbledore who is the fourth Dumbledore sibling. But that’s not all as another major twist is revealed that involves Leta Lestrange back in 1901. Leta tells Newtm Credence, Nagini, Tina, and Yusuf about the time she was traveling with her baby half-brother Corvus. When she got bothered by the excessive cries of the baby, she swapped him with another baby from the nearby cabin. The ship drowned along with Corvus and Leta was left with Credence. Interestingly, Grindelwald did not know that Credence isn’t Corvus when he revealed that Credence is Aurelius.
This mere lack of information could actually mean a lot of things and that might impact the narrative in many different ways. Fans are wondering if Grindelwald made that revelation in order to manipulate Credence against Dumbledore. Or in a much simpler manner, he might actually be thinking that Corvus is Aurelius as Leta was the only person who knew otherwise and she was killed by Grindelwald the very night she made the revelation. But if the latter is true then it brings in the fact that Aurelius is the son of Kendra Dumbledore and the latter was actually killed in 1899 due to one of her daughter Ariana’s Obscurus bursts, which is before Aurelius might have even been born.
The Mother of Dumbledore – Kendra Dumbledore
The Aurelius revelation actually puts into question everything that we have witnessed so far in the movies and thus we must get some clear insight into this. Since the third film will explore Dumbledore’s secret, we must get a chance to see his past and specifically explore Ariana’s death and Kendra’s fate. Both of them will become essential parts of the discussion and there should be some clarity in their arcs. Kendra was a Muggle-born and she was killed due to Ariana’s outbursts that led to Albus looking after Ariana. There are some major parallels between the character of Credence and Ariana as both of them intend to hide or suppress their magic.
We will get to see the Dumbledore brothers unite again in the upcoming film and the very reason they parted ways was that Aberforth blamed Albus for Ariana’s death. Ariana got killed during the three-way battle between Albus, Aberforth, and Grindelwald. Since they are uniting again, we might get a chance to see them discuss Kendra’s death. It would actually work out as an interesting narrative if we find that Kendra is the secret that Albus is talking about.
But it does bring into question the true identity of Aurelius because at the very end Grindelwald could be wrong about his statement. There are other possibilities for Credence, as his birth mother is Voldemort’s grandmother and thus he becomes the brother of Voldemort’s mother Merope Gaunt. This could stand as evidence for the fact that his powerful magic could prove to be descending from the great Salazar Slytherin. All these things have to be explored in the upcoming film and it has to be done in a manner that does involve Dumbledore’s family history.
