10 Updates on Jurassic World 3 You Should Be Aware Of

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was a wild ride. It set up some of the craziest things to come in the franchise. The freeing of the dinosaurs after the destruction of the theme park is a bit reminiscent of the second movie in the series. However, the migration of the beasts has never occurred on this level before. Even with Jurassic World, the scale was never taken to the extreme as teased at the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Now, we’re waiting for Dominion, which has been rated as a PG-13 movie already. Here are 10 updates on Jurassic World 3 that you should be aware of.

Main Cast will Return

It has been confirmed that Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will be reprising their roles for the third movie in the “Jurassic World” franchise. The leading pair has been carrying the franchise on their shoulders all throughout it’s tenure so it’s appropriate to see them return for the final installation in the trilogy. Hopefully their character arcs will receive adequate closure by the time the trilogy ends.

True Cast Will Also Return

In addition to Pratt and Howard; Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum are also confirmed to be returning for Jurassic World: Dominion. The trio of characters headlined the original Jurassic World topology so it will be fitting to see them return for the finale. It is also expected that the trio will be present through majority of the movie’s runtime. The trio will have their own storyline which will eventually intersect with Pratt and Howard.

The Release Date

Jurassic World: Dominion Delayed To 2022
Updates on Jurassic World 3

The release date of Jurassic World: Dominion was originally set for June 11, 2021. But due to Covid-19 production had to be completely shut down for a while. The movie was not affected much by the pandemic because almost all of the shooting was nearly complete. However, the administration process and marketing was brought to a halt. As a result the release date has been rescheduled to Jun 10, 2022. We can’t for the movie to release.

Opening Scene is Millions of Years old

It has been confirmed by the filmmakers that Jurassic World: Dominion will open with a scene set 65 million years ago. The production team wants to showcase the massive scale of these dinosaurs. What better way to do that but by starting off in the era in which the Dinos ruled the earth with absolute power. Maybe the scene is to establish their dominance or it is there to setup a plot point we haven’t seen before. Regardless, we cant wait to watch it.

New Dinos

The new movie will also feature seven new species of Dinosaurs. These are Giganotosaurus, Dreadnoughtus, Quetzalcoatulus, Oviraptor, Nasutoceratops, Iguanodon, and Morus Intrepidus. Giganotosaurus is going to fighting the T-Rex in an epic battle in the prologue of the movie. Something that is supposed to be paid off by the time the movie ends. We cannot wait to see this confrontation unfold with our own eyes.

New Villains

Jurassic Park/ World series has the habit of feeding its villains to the dinos. There is not much one can do about being eaten by a dinosaur but except their fate. This is the reason why every new movie in the franchise needs new villains. Jurassic World: Dominion is going to be much the same. We are hoping to see a ravishing new villain take center stage and threaten the existence of humanity itself.

New World Order

Updates on Jurassic World 3

The end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is an extraordinary cliffhanger. A 10-year-old clone girl releases the Dinos into the world. By the last scene, these creatures are roaming America as if it were their own backyard setting the stage for Jurassic World: Dominion. The next movie is sure to expand upon the new world order that comes about after the release of the dinosaurs. One can only wonder what kind of things these beasts will get up to before they are stopped once and for all.

No More Hybrids

The Hybrid Dinosaur was a concept introduced in Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom. The villain of this movie sought to sell off the dinosaurs as war machines to the highest bidder. However, the most interesting part of his evil plan was the creation of hybrid dinosaurs. The concept made a lot of fans bitter so the filmmakers have decided to let go of it and it looks like there will be no more hybrid dinosaurs in the franchise.

Colin Trevorrow Will be back

Colin Trevorrow directed the first movie in this trilogy. But he had to step away from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom so the mantle of director was passed onto J.A. Bayona. But now it has been confirmed that Colin Trevorrow will return for Jurassic World: Dominion. This is greatness, as many fans consider Trevorrow to be the ideal candidate with the right vision for the franchise. Maybe he is the right person to finish the series.

This is a science movie

The Jurassic Park franchise will end with Jurassic World: Dominion for now. It is said that the final movie in the trilogy is going to be a science thriller. Which means that the movie will focus much more on science rather than on the action that has become a staple in the franchise. We do hope that the writes have done their homework, because the fandom enjoys nitpicking pseudoscience in movies.
