2 Major Details About WandaVision Post Credits Scenes Revealed

WandaVision has redefined the concept of sitcoms. The show heavily relied its theme on reality-altering moments. Wanda was seen wrapping the reality and setting the outlay of Westview. WandaVision was a perfect amalgamation of many elements. With no surprise, the presentation was perfect. Even though the show ended months ago, fans are still learning new things about it. Speaking on that note, we have brand new information on WandaVision post-credits scenes.

WandaVision Post Credits Scenes Accomplishes Two Goals

If I talk about the second post-credit scene of WandaVision, then the entire message of it was unclear. Well, we can easily theorize. But we now know the psychology behind Wanda isolating herself in the hills. WandaVision writer Jac Shaeffer discussed in an interview with Rolling Stone the two goals of the post-credit scene. Shaeffer said:

One, that she had reached some semblance of acceptance, and that she was able to be by herself comfortably; that there could be a measure of peace, and she could sit and have tea and reflect and not want to jump out of her skin and not, you know, be crying and self-medicating in any way, with her power or otherwise.

WandaVision told us that Wanda is not aware of her abilities yet. Hence, we saw her in the post-credit reading the Darkhold in the astral form. Seemingly, she was in control. This particular scene communicated the fact that Wanda’s newfound control is here to stay. Schaeffer explained the second goal of the scene. It is simple – Wanda is exploring herself. Schaeffer said:

And then the second goal was that what she’s learned through the course of the Westview experience, and specifically what she has learned from Agatha, would send her on this journey of wanting to know more about herself, and the Darkhold became the mechanism for that.

Next Stage For Scarlet Witch Is Acceptance

In my opinion, the next stage for Wanda is to accept her past and prepare for the future. WandaVision post-credits scenes kind of support my claim. As I’ve said before, the show centers around Wanda’s grief and the years of trauma. But once again she had to lose everything in order to achieve the greater goal. So when we see her isolated and reading the Darkhold to understand herself better, it gives away the fact that Wanda is finally feeling comfortable with herself. Schaeffer continued to explain the post-credit scene:

We wanted more time to have elapsed, and that she would be somewhere isolated, somewhere where she felt protected, and on her own. Because we were trying, ultimately, to accomplish two goals.

In my opinion, Marvel will now focus on Wanda’s powers and abilities. Moreover, the Darkhold is now in play. In the comics, Wanda is directly connected to the writer of the Darkhold, who is an Elder God called Chthon. In fact, he is the one who blessed Wanda with the power of Chaos Magic. So what I can vouch for is that Wanda will be responsible for all the chaos in Marvel’s Phase 4.

Wanda’s Future In The MCU

Wanda Maximoff, Scarlet Witch is a very rich character for Marvel to be shelved aside. Hence, she is going to be a concrete part of the future of Marvel. WandaVision set the tone for Phase 4 with altered realities and broadcasting the welcoming of magic into the MCU. So she can actually be a part of almost everything. The goals Schaeffer discussed are actually proof of that in that they reinforced Wanda’s growth from the series while also laying the foundation for her next story.

Elizabeth Olsen is set to appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness alongside Benedict Cumberbatch. There are doubts that Wanda will be the villain of this horror flick because she in possession of the Darkhold. And let me tell you, it’s a famous fact in the comics that whosoever reads the Darkhold is immediately corrupted. So, we are in for a massive ride of mind-boggling plot twists, and hardcore visuals.
