Over the years, we’ve come across several wild theories. The anticipation of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame especially encouraged many people to come up with their own theories. And since the Infinity Stones have been a major part of the Infinity Saga, many theories were devoted to them. We’ve got a new theory that suggests – the Tesseract used Loki to Escape Thanos. I know it sounds crazy! But at least look at it before you give out an opinion.

Before Infinity War came out, people predicted the location of the Soul Stone. And now that the Infinity Stones have been reduced to atoms, people are coming up with theories that would bring them back into the mix. Such is the latest theory about the Tesseract, which comes from a Redditor called “TheMediocreCritic.” His theory suggests that the Tesseract used Loki to escape Thanos.
There’s enough evidence that suggests its possibility. According to the Redditor, the Tesseract is sentient. It has its own will. That’s why it acts differently in different situations. And, it has been using people to travel from one place to another. Nick Fury, Loki, Captain Marvel, and many other individuals have been able to hold it in their hands. But when Red Skull held it, he was transported to Vormir, in order to guard the Soul Stone.
The Tesseract usually doesn’t burn up. It stays stationary when put inside containers. It did not burn through a lunch box, but it fell into the ocean from Red Skull’s aircraft. If the Space Stone is sentient, then it must have felt the fate of Captain America in that situation. That’s why it escaped Red Skull’s ship and ended up with the next host.
In Avengers: Endgame, Thanos reduced all the stones to Atoms. So, the Redditor suggests that when Tony Stark was “hit in the head with a Hulk,” his case busted open, and the tesseract slid across the floor. It landed precisely at the feet of the one person in the room who will immediately use the stone to escape, and that was none other than Loki.
Loki escaped, and he created a new timeline from that point onwards. And as we saw in the Loki trailer, the God of Mischief even lost the stone to the Time Variance Authority. Having done this, the tesseract managed to escape its trajectory. If this would not have happened, then the Tesseract would have eventually been destroyed by Thanos in the future.
So, the Redditor’s wild theory may not be as crazy as it sounds. And now, it will be interesting to see if the Tesseract ends up in the original timeline once again in the Loki series. People have theorized that the Mind Stone is also sentient. It could have affected Thanos’ mind. It certainly affected Loki, Hawkeye, Erik Selvig, and many others. We saw the Avengers argue with each other when the Scepter was in the room. So, the Mind Stone is surely sentient. And it won’t be crazy to think that the Space Stone and all other Infinity Stones are sentient as well. After all, Erik Selvig referred to the Tesseract as “She.” So, it could surely have a brain of its own.
