Falcon & Winter Soldier’s Real Villain REVEALED & It’s Not Power-Broker

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier focuses on Sam and Bucky dealing with their lives after the events of Avengers: Endgame. They are both grieving over the loss of their best friend, Steve Rogers. Sam decides to give up the legacy in episode 2, and Bucky doesn’t adjust well to this decision. The show has a number of bad guys, such as Zemo, and the Flag-Smashers. For some time, people thought that its the Power-Broker who is the big bad. But it looks like we were all wrong. The real villain has just been named!

WARNING: The following contains spoilers for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Episode 2, “The Star-Spangled Man,” streaming now on Disney+.

This is definitely going to come to you as a shocker. The show has successfully confused the fans and put them on a different path. After introducing Isaiah Bradley, the first-ever black Captain America, the fans instantly starting making connections between Isaiah and the Flag-Smashers. The reason for this is that they have the same powers as Captain America, with fingers pointing towards the Power Broker as the tyrant powering these fiends up. Now, we are not saying that this is not a possibility, but it might just be a distraction from the real villain of the show. The big bad of the series is William Hurt’s, Thaddeus Ross.

We have known Thaddeus Ross to be well aware of the existence and usage of the supersoldier serum. As we saw in The Incredible Hulk, he had possession of the serum. He goes on to inject Emil Blonsky with the serum to transform him into his personal weapon. But Ross wasn’t aware of the consequences as his serum had some miscalculations. This resulted in Blonsky transforming into the Abomination. After he defeated by the Hulk, he was taken into storage for obvious reasons and was never seen again. But it could be very much possible that ever since his serum’s creation, he must’ve used the leftover variables to make the perfect question. This means, Ross now has a new serum.

Let’s talk about how Ross and the Power-Broker could be heavily dealing with each other. Power-Broker would need a base to commence his concoction. This is where Ross comes in. It could be that Ross offered the Power-Broker Blonsky’s DNA. This approach would very likely fit Ross’s style of revenge. Ross could be also involved due to the possibility of the Flag-Smashers being in possession of the serum. For the Flag-Smashers, it’s not about creating terrorists, but leveling the playing field against authoritative figures like Ross. SO, there you have it.
