9 Loki Theories That Prove He Is The God Of Mischief

He caused the snap??

We all love ourselves a little nighty, don’t we? Well, that’s Loki for us. The God of Mischief, Loki, is the adopted son of Odin. Time and again he has surprised us with his shenanigans, only proving that no other MCU villain can be as favorable as he is. This particular outlaw was once again seeing carrying out devious ways in Avengers: Endgame. On a time-travel adventure to 2012 by our lead Avengers, Tony Stark ended up losing the Tesseract to Loki. As a result, with no surprise, he evaporated into thin air. Only to be seen again in the new Loki series trailer that will premiere on Disney+.

The trailers tell us that Loki is an alternate timeline, taken into custody by the Time Variance Authority. Considering that he is mischievous, Loki is definitely a man with a plan. This is not just coming from me, but eh trailer itself. He has plans even bigger than the TVA itself. But if we do not dwell in the trailer and let our imagination go wild, then I have 9 mind-boggling theories that are full of Loki’s mischief.

Check them out below:

Reason Behind Odin Being A Batter King:

It was revealed in Thor: Ragnarok that Hela is Odin’s firstborn. She tells Thor and Loki that Odin was a ruthless conqueror who killed millions before settling for peace. Of course, then she goes on to destroy Thor’s beloved hammer with little to no difficulty. Redditor /u/Denommus wrote:

The real reason Odin changed was… Loki. When he found the baby abandoned on the battlefield, he finally learned the consequences of his acts. Likely, Thor was already born as well, so he empathized with the baby because he had his own baby. So, he thought about how many babies must have died because of his conquests, and from that point on decided to stop. So, in a certain way, Loki might have saved the Marvel Universe from Odin and Hela.”

Why Loki Said Those Words Before Dying:

Loki died a tragic death at the hands of Thanos. I mean, he literally snapped his neck Loki’s made his eyes pop out. But he served a serious purpose before his soul left his body. He said, “The sun will shine on us again, brother.” The aforementioned picture just proves how intelligent and nimble he was. According to Redditor u/BertitoMio, he did more than just save his brother. He gave him an insight into the future.

Loki Hired Matt Damon:

Surprising Cameos in MCU Movies

Well, we all love ourselves a theory with room for improvement. Redditor /u/TruthorTroll claims that Loki hired Matt Damon. This is because he is an A-list actor from Midgard to enact his big sacrificial moment of Svartalfheim. But when Thor and Loki went to Earth in search of their father, Doctor Strange was pretty much aware of his existence. Hence, the problem with this theory is that somebody was out there who was aware of his fake death. Or else, as I like to put it, aware of his mischief. Let’s rectify this. Skurge (Karl Urban) said that he’d been to Texas and picked up a few things, including “Des” and “Troy.” It is very much possible that he came across the production of a feature film of Damon’s. He liked his work and wanted to gift him to Loki. As a matter of fact, he took himself to Asgard and gifted Damon to Loki.

Loki as Eitri the Dwarf:

Loki faked his death a little too easily. As revealed in the Disney+ Loki series trailer, Mobius (Owen Wilson) showed Loki how he would have died in the next six years if he hadn’t run away with the Tesseract. Hence, any other theories of him surviving in any other way would easily be considered useless. Redditor u/billiamwerk suggests that after Loki pointed Thor towards Nidavellir and faked his death. But that was not it. He himself faked to be the Eitri the Dwarf.

Loki’s Left-Handed Illusions By Default:

Loki could be the smartest of us all. Even smarter than Thanos. Redditor /u/radkarth presents evidence that Loki is right-handed. He was seen using the Scepter with his right hand. He was seen using the Scepter with his right hand. But when we thought that Loki died in Thor: The Dark World, he held his dagger with his left hand… But let me tell you, that was not it, It has been repeated. In the moments of his final confrontation with Thanos, he attacked himself with his left hand again.  His attack at Thanos was another illusion similar to his previous attack. He knew exactly how strong the Mad Titan was. It’s rather interesting that Tom Hiddleston admitted that he didn’t notice this “Left-Hand Illusions” pattern.

Thanos’ Plan for Asgard:

The Mad Titan was pretty much aware of the threat that Odin and his powerful fleet possess. Hence, he was waiting for just the right moment. As a result, when Asgard was sabotaged by Surtur, that’s the exact moment when Thanos appeared. This aforementioned theory presented by Redditor u/Zentaurion sounds pretty cool.

Loki Is The Mastermind Behind The Snap:

We didn’t get to see how Loki ended up with Thanos after he fell from Asgard. So we do not know what exact relation Loki and Thanos. So let’s just say Thanos had Loki Thunder the spell of the Mind Stone. The Mischievous Asgardian could have provided Thanos with a bit of Asgardian knowledge. It could have always been Loki that informed Thanos about the fake Infinity Gauntlet. Hence, he was prompted to snap the fingers and bring balance to the Universe.

Dr. Strange Harsh Behavior Towards Loki:

Loki had terrorized New York back in 2012. With his Chituari army, there was hardly a building that was standing still after the wreckage. Even the Avengers had a hard time keeping them at bay. Hence, this could have been the reason why Doctor Strange was so harsh with him. Redditor /u/cinisxiii  believes that “Dr. Strange was so harsh with Loki because he had to treat many of his victims.”

Loki Is the Reason for Earth’s Unresolved Mysteries:

Loki is anything but real. The Loki trailer shows how Loki is posing as the mysterious real-world criminal, D.B. Cooper. The namely character stole a bunch of money, hijacked a plane, and then jumped out of it with a parachute, with a wicked smile on his face. As if he was aware of the future. But the real surprise is, that D.B. Cooper was never found again. It is very believable that Loki is the reason why there are so many unresolved theories on Earth. Our very own Loki is behind it. He won’t necessarily create new timelines, but he will definitely leave a lot of ambiguity for us to follow.

Loki is a character that you cannot forget so easily. It’s as simple as that. Marvel has unveiled the first poster for Loki. Check it out:

There is a reason why this Disney+ series, Loki is taking place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D properly explained the rules of how time works in the MCU. If you were confused, imagine you throw a stone or a stick in the water. It will create a ripple. But it will be a matter of no time that the water restores the original course of its flow. But if you throw too many sticks are thrown into the stream, then a dam is created & the water changes its direction. This is exactly what our beloved Loki did.

Tom Hiddleston is taking on the character for the seventh time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He’s joined in Loki by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Wunmi Mosaku, and Erika Coleman. Loki will likely be a pretty major departure from the rest of the MCU that came before it. At the very least, it certainly promises to be an enormous spectacle. But that is not the only thing we know about the Loki series.

The visual effects supervisor Brad Parker told CBM:

“Well, that’s pretty much all I can say, that it is a crazy journey! That’s another project that will defy expectations in a lot of ways. It’s been so much fun.” He continued, “It’s been on my hit list to work on a Marvel project, and Loki is just such a great one. It’s so cool, and there are so many amazing things that are going to happen in every episode. I can’t wait for people to see it. It’s a lot of hard work. We’re working furiously to make this thing as great as possible, and I think people are going to be thrilled when they see it.
