10 Netflix Originals Returning With A New Season in 2021

Netflix has been known to be a lifesaver for several souls during last year’s lockdown. This year, however, Netflix has come with all guns flaring and announced new seasons to its multiple existing Originals in 2021. 2020 was a complex year for a lot of us and probably 2021 will carry on or rather take things forward from the year 2019. There has been an announcement of several series getting a new season this coming year, some may even be rumors turned to reality. Below is a list of Netflix originals with a new season already announced and in some cases with the plans still in the pipeline.

The story will pickoff from the last episode where the doctor needs to decide who’s lives will he save, his or his crew’s. The Professor is the mastermind behind the siege and has been the brains behind the entire operation. The filming had begun in August of 2020, but the release date is still yet to be confirmed.

Actor David Harbour had confirmed that a new season was supposed to come out this year, so the fans are already crossing their fingers on this one. We all hope that we get to see the new season very soon.

From the first day of its release, people were wondering as to how well the storyline of ‘Better Call Saul’, ever intervene with the ‘Breaking Bad’ narrative. Now that we already have five seasons to narrate Jimmy McGill’s story on Netflix. Vince Gilligan and company seem to be gearing up for the sixth and final season. As noted from sources the production has resumed and if things go as planned it’s safe to expect a premiere by the end of 2021.

Big Mouth

The comedy series Big Mouth is an added massive venture to see a new season this year, as Netflix previously established the continuance of the show in 2019. If Big Mouth season 5 follows the old, foreseeable release plan, it’s safe to imagine the new season to drop in the fall of 2021.

Cobra Kai

The new season 3 for this show has already been released by Netflix in January 2021. The show was initially aired on YouTube Red, but after the Google-owned video-sharing giant decided to cancel the show, Netflix decides to air the oncoming seasons on its own OTT platform. A season 4 of the same original series within the same year would be too much to expect, but here’s to wishing.

Post the canceling of the show by Fox and Netflix picking up the reigns of the series. The show has become immensely popular with a lot of fans. The first part of Season 5 had dropped in 2020, thus it is safe to assume that the remainder of the season will drop this year.

You

The ending of Season 3’s finale, by Joe Goldberg, has left multiple searing questions in the viewer’s brains. Luckily for the audience, the shooting for the 10 episodes of season 4 had already resumed in early January this year. Thus, it is expected that the new season may be released at any time by the end of 2021.

Sex Education

It may be a while before we see the Maeve, Otis, and crew hit the screens anytime soon, as the 3rd season of the series still seems to be a work in progress. Many plot holes still have to be tied together from the last season’s finale. While there has not been any release date confirmed yet, it may be safe to assume that it might happen anytime before May this year.

After Felix Gallardo’s imprisonment, DEA’s cat-and-mouse game with the Mexican cartel will end up in a bloodbath in the third season of Narcos: Mexico. The original season kicked off way back in 2018 and it wasn’t until two years when the second one dropped. The new boss in town is Amado Carrillo Fuentes and seems all set and ready to earn his mark.

Emily In Paris

Emily Cooper was a young and clueless American maiden at the beginning of Season 1, but now she is a lot more sorted-out personality. She seems to have found out the reason for her presence in the capital city of France and luckily the 2nd season seems to have been put in motion.
