Brie Larson Begins Training for Captain Marvel 2:
Captain Marvel performed rather marvelously at the box office and grossed over $1.12 billion at the box office. And with no surprise, Marvel scheduled a sequel, Captain Marvel 2, for 2022. No, the plot details are still under the sheets because obviously, they do not want to make much of the information public yet. But what we know is, that an adult version of Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) and Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) will be coming to play their roles in the film. Oscar-winner Larson was officially announced as the MCU’s Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, in 2016. Her arrival was hyped up considerably, with the post-credits scene of Avengers; Infinity War hinting Captain Marvel would be the key to defeating Thanos. Early 2019 brought Captain Marvel, her first solo movie. this 90s-set project focused on Carol’s origin story, from how she got her powers to her decision to venture further into space and away from Earth.
Is it still to be confirmed when Captain Marvel 2 will start filming, but it seems like it will be soon. In a new video shared to her YouTube channel, Larson revealed she recently set up a home gym for her Captain Marvel 2 training.
“As you may know, Captain Marvel 2 is gearing up,” Larson said.
While she couldn’t say much else about the movie, she did say it’s “time for me to get moving.” Larson’s superhero workouts are about to kick into high gear, so filming must be coming up. You can check the video here:

We’re assuming that Larson will be training for the next few months, so that means the filming can kick off in the spring. If that happens, then the movie has ample time to finish all the work before its hypothetical release date that is November 2022. This could also allow the movie to not get tangled between the complications that could be caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
As of recently, a fellow Marvel project which is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been put on hold amidst the surge of rising cases. However, Captain Marvel 2 still has some time before it will begin, so it could be okay. With such peeks by Larson of her working out and preparing for the role as Captain Marvel, we can expect her to give us some more sneak and peeks regarding the upcoming sequel.
It’s already been two years since fans last saw Larson in action as Carol, and many are excited to see what will come next for her. Luckily, Captain Marvel 2 appears to be on track to meet its late 2022 premiere, so hopefully, people won’t have to wait any longer than they already have to.
