Doctor Strange 2 is going to establish the Multiverse. America Chavez aka Miss America will step in as a universe hopping hero, and she could take Doctor Strange on a ride through the Multiverse. It has been reported that she herself will be from a different Universe. But to really establish the infinite Universes concept, we could get to see alternate versions of familiar MCU heroes. Or we could see some new heroes show up through the Multiverse. These cameos could either be there for fan service or future setups. But either way, we would love to see them in Doctor Strange 2. Here are the surprising characters who could appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness:
Spider-Man
Since Sam Raimi is directing Doctor Strange 2, he will have the perfect opportunity to bring Tobey Maguire back as Peter Parker. This could act as a future set up because we’ve all been wanting a live-action Spider-Verse movie. So, the appearance of Tobey Maguire could lead to a Holland-Maguire-Garfield team up movie.
Avengers
Recently, a rumor suggested that Marvel is considering the idea to bring Tom Cruise as Tony Stark from an alternate universe. You see, Tom Cruise was one of the bigger names who could have played Iron Man instead of Robert Downey Jr.. So, his cameo as Iron Man of a different Earth would make sense. Keeping this in mind, we could hope for a whole Avengers cameo instead of just Iron Man. John Krasinski was in contention for Steve Rogers, so we could see him as Captain America. Emily Blunt could be there as Black Widow, Jensen Ackles as Hawkeye, Matthew McConaughey as Hulk, and most importantly, Tom Hiddleston could be the Thor of this Universe. Now that would be awesome!
What is these Avengers actually Assembled in Tobey Maguire’s Universe? That way, he could also join the ensemble cameo, and even Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine could be a part of this Universe. Although, we have to remember that this sort of a cameo would only be there for fan service. So, we shouldn’t expect an Avengers movie with this cast.
Ghost Rider
Ghost Rider is rumored to appear in Doctor Strange 2. So, he could step in Doctor Strange 2 through the Hell Dimension of the Multiverse. Marvel could just show him as Ghost Rider if they wanna wait in to cast an actor. Our vote will always stand with Keanu Reeves. But let’s wait and see about that.
Deadpool
Marvel is looking for a way to bring Ryan Reynolds into the MCU as Deadpool. Doctor Strange’s Multiverse hopping could pave the way for Deadpool. Really, no one would expect to see Deadpool in a Doctor Strange movie. And this appearance would make Deadpool ready for his solo movie after Doctor Strange 2.
Squadron Supreme
If Marvel doesn’t want to do a fan-service cameo with an alternate universe Avengers team, then they could actually reveal the Squadron Supreme instead. This team includes Hyperion, Nighthawk, Power Princess, Speed Demon, Doctor Spectrum & Nuke. They are basically Marvel’s counterparts of the Justice League. And, they could be set up as the future villains of the MCU.
Captain Britain
A whole Captain Britain Corps. exists in the Marvel comics. Since Captain Britain is supposed to become a part of the MCU soon, his arrival could be hinted at by Captain Britain from an alternate universe.
Marvel Zombies
Marvel will turn Captain America into a Zombie in their animated What if…? series, but they could actually bring live-action Marvel Zombies through the Multiverse. Just imagine a Zombie Hulk showing up in Doctor Strange 2. It would be crazy, and totally unexpected.
