New Casting in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Reveals an Endgame Connection

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Reveals an Endgame Connection:

A couple of years back when we got a whiff of the fact that Marvel will be doing exclusive TV shows on the Disney streaming service, everyone jumped with rejoicing because, for the first time, Marvel would be coming up with exclusive shows that would connect directly will the films. Then came the official announcements for all the Disney+ MCU shows in development, at Comic-Con 2019 and the D23 Expo. There, Feige confirmed that the events of these shows will directly impact the movies. What’s really interesting is that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will not just connect with Endgame & other MCU projects directly, but it will also explore the several factions of MCU deeply with the extra screen time.

Rumors have suggested that we’d get a set up for the Thunderbolts, mutants, and many villainous organizations. For instance, the Alchemists were spotted in the 30 second TV spot. Wolverine villain Ogun’s biker gang was spotted in the set photos. Hydra is rumored to reappear. Zemo will probably form his team called the Masters of Evil. So clearly, several smaller villainous groups and organizations will play a part in the series. And now, we’ve got a reason to believe that another villainous gang, that was seen in Endgame will now reappear in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Avengers: Endgame Featurette Marvel

The IMDb page of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has added two new members to the cast and crew section. Kawui Joa has been stated to play a “yakuza gang” member and Leon Ngo is a “yakuza bike rider.” When Clint took on the mantle of Ronin in Endgame, he was seen fighting the members of the Yakuza. So clearly, the gang survived, and they will have some sort of a role to play in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Considering that IMDb can be edited by anyone, the casting sheet of the series may not be entirely credible. But, most of the casting information mentioned on the website usually turns out to be true. Given the fact that the Yakuza have already been seen in the MCU, we’re inclined to believe that the casting information is true. But we can’t possibly know of the extent of Yakuza’s involvement in the series.

Leon Ngo is a “yakuza bike rider.” This could make us think that there will be an action sequence or a bike chase sequence, but it could also mean that the Yakuza rider just arrives somewhere on his motorcycle. After all, Ogun’s biker gang is also supposed to appear on the show, and even they might not be a part of an action sequence. So, anything is possible.

Potential spoilers for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier could follow.

Anyway, talking about the villains appearing in the series always reminds me of an interesting plot leak that came out earlier this year. This plot leak of one of the episodes mentioned that Omega Red and Batroc the Leaper are also supposed to appear in the series. Here, go through it, but do remember to take it with a grain of salt:

Sam isn’t allowed to be Cap because of the events of Civil War, but trusts US Agent to take over the mantle.

US Agent genuinely wants to do a good job and doesn’t realize he’s part of a bigger plan.

Sam and Bucky have to work with Zemo to track down a crime syndicate called The Alchemists. Zemo is essentially their hostage but he has vital information.

They go to Madripoor with him and there they meet Batroc the Leaper and Omega Red.

Falcon And The Winter Soldier Trailer Description

Agent 13 and Bucky seem to have a romance. Very flirty vibes. Sam judges Bucky for it and Bucky says, “Steve dated her like 70 years ago.”

William Hurt is in the show. At least in this one episode. Seemed to reference events of Black Widow.

Zemo escapes from them in a speedboat to end the episode.

Sam got shot in the episode.”

Let’s see if this leak turns out to be true. What role do you think the Yakuza would play in the series? Tell us in the comments down below.
