Great News for MCU Shows Like Hawkeye, WandaVision, Loki & Others

Great News for MCU Shows:

We’ve got a slew of Marvel news updates as productions for Disney’s films and TV shows are going to begin in full flow from July onwards. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was filming in Czech Republic last month, but now it will resume filming in the US in July and has only about 3 weeks of filming left to be done. The same goes for WandaVision & Loki.

Initially, it seemed like the WandaVision series had finished its production. But apparently, there is some filming that is yet to be done. Maybe some scenes need to be completed or there need to be certain reshoots. Paul Bettany was going to attend Tampa Bay Comic-Con, but his appearance at the event has now been canceled as he has been called back for filming his MCU TV series in July. WandaVision & the other shows are restarting production under the guidelines presented by the Los Angeles County Task Force.

Why Thor & Hawkeye Survived in Endgame

The big takeaway from the recent Marvel news updates is about the Hawkeye series. Apparently the Hawkeye series now has a production grid. We all thought that the Coronavirus might not let it begin production this year, but apparently cameras are set to begin to begin rolling in September. The show is supposed to film in Atlanta, Georgia on September 28. Here’s what the project summary states:

“Clint Barton, a.k.a. Hawkeye, passes the torch to Kate Bishop. Bishop takes up the Hawkeye mantle after Barton. She is also a member of the group known as the Young Avengers.”

This is the first time an official plot summary has mentioned the Young Avengers. The point we need to consider here is that Hawkeye is the only OG Avenger who is training a member of the Young Avengers. So, it is highly likely that when Kate Bishop joins the team of the Young Heroes, she might actually be the leader having the most field experience. Obviously, there will be an older character in charge of this team. Maybe, Ant-Man and the Wasp could be the ones in charge since Scott Lang’s daughter Cassie Lang is also supposed to join in. But we’ll have to wait and see who that is.

The other members of the Young Avengers could be Wiccan, Speed & Hulkling (all rumored to make their debut in WandaVision), Elijah ‘Eli’ Bradley aka Patriot (rumored to be in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) and perhaps even Ms. Marvel. Spider-Man and Shuri also fit the perfect age to be in this team, but they might not be a part of this team. Other rumored members are Kid Loki, Ironheart & possibly even Iron Lad.

Moving on to Loki, it will also begin filming in July. Loki is already being planned for a lengthy multi season story. So that will be huge because Kang, the next potential villain of the Avengers is supposed to appear on this show.

Besides Loki, even The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is being planned for multiple seasons, as Charles Murphy stated on his Murphy’s Law podcast that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Season 2 will be renamed. He said:

“Coming out of season one, [Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson] are going to have gone through something traumatic and be different. There was definitely at one point a plan for a second season… If they did have season two, it wouldn’t be called The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Season 2, it would be a thematically related thing with a different name.”

They will possibly be renamed because both of them might get new titles by the end of Season 1. Since Falcon is supposed to become Captain America, and Bucky might go by the White Wolf, the second season of the show could be titled Captain America & The Winter Soldier or Captain America & The White Wolf.

Last but not the least, another news update suggests that theatres in 90% of the world will reopen by July and the theatre chains will be following specific guidelines to cater the people. That is good news for Marvel Studios because Black Widow will arrive by November, and till then, things might just be back to almost “normal.”
