Amazing Joker & Batman Fan Theory Confirmed By Suicide Squad Director

Joker & Batman Fan Theory:

It is fair to say that the first Suicide Squad movie was not as strong story wise. But it was probably another DC failure due to late rewrites. While it failed to impress critics, the movie did very well at the Box Office and now it is getting an upgrade as James Gunn has helmed the reboot sequel and he is bringing in a bunch of new characters into the mix. While we are optimistic to see what new The Suicide Squad & other DC movies have to offer, it just feels bad that WB has treated many of the previous DC characters very unfairly. Among them, the top 3 are Superman, Joker & Batman.

WB isn’t willing to bring Henry Cavill back as Superman. They are not willing to give Jared Leto another shot at the Joker even though his entire performance was edited out of Suicide Squad. Ben Affleck has already confirmed that he is out and won’t be returning as Batman ever. Our only shot at the one true DC shared Universe is now gone.

Despite how Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice & Suicide Squad turned out, we were pretty psyched to see the future of Batman & Joker. They would’ve definitely clashed on screen in a Red Hood movie because that’s where things were leading up to. Batman would’ve fought Deathstroke in his first movie, and the second one would’ve finally been a confrontation between Batman, the Joker & Red Hood.

Jared Leto’s Joker had a huge role to play in the story of Ben Affleck’s Batman. People just didn’t give him a chance to truly express himself. He was judged far too early after we got to see a tiny bit of him in Suicide Squad. Then all the films he was promised were totally wiped out of the slate. WB promised Leto a Harley vs. Joker movie & a solo Joker film. It is okay that Joaquin Phoenix got the opportunity to star in a unique, gritty real world Joker film. But instead of giving us a Harley vs. Joker film, what we got was Harley’s solo emancipation as she teamed up with a couple of unfamiliar characters.

People thought that Leto’s Joker was totally absurd, coming in with all his tattoos suggesting how crazy he was. We’re here to say that most of his tattoos have a hidden meaning. For instance, let’s consider the “Damaged” tattoo on his forehead. This was taken as the idea of Joker expressing how damaged he truly is. But that’s not what it meant. A fan theory on twitter has revealed the real idea behind the Damaged tattoo. He wrote:

“I think the damaged tattoo is actually pretty ingenious, but only for those who understand. Joker got the tattoo because batman damaged his smile in a failed attempt at revenge for killing Robin. All with the intent to antagonize and infuriate Batman simply by seeing his face.”

Suicide Squad director David Ayer has confirmed this theory on twitter. It is amazing to note the true meaning behind the tattoo. The death of Robin is what totally changed Bruce Wayne. He became a brutal vigilante & lost his path. Even he hung Robin’s suit in the Batcave as a reminder of his failure. It is what motivated him to be even harder with his methods. Batman held himself responsible for Robin’s death and Joker wanted to remind him of his failure every time he saw that damaged tat. What more meaning could you ask for?

David Ayer actually admitted that he regrets not making Joker the true villain of Suicide Squad. That way we would’ve actually got to see the true performance of Leto. While Leto isn’t getting a second go at the Joker, but he will star as Michael Morbius next year. That is where he will prove why his Joker deserved a second chance. Do you agree that Leto’s Joker was treated unfairly? Tell us.
