A Good villain is what makes a Good Hero. For years we have seen the concept of Good Vs Evil and these rivalries personify this concept. These heroes and villains are inseparable and their battles have left a lifelong impact on the fans.

Two of the most controversial and reckless pirates of all time, Captain Jack and Barbossa were meant to butt heads, as they both are very similar. Both of them are super greedy and ambitious, so they are bound to cross each other. Their rivalry has entertained fans all over the world.

Lex Luthor is the most prominent Superman villain of all time and his impact on the character has been profound. Their ideologies are completely different, even though both of them want to ‘save’ the world. Lex Luthor has managed to hold his own against Superman because he is quite possibly one of the most intelligent men on Earth.

For centuries Saruman was the strongest wizard in the counsel but then he was corrupted and Gandalf took it upon himself to oppose the evil wizard. Saruman was jealous of Gandalf and it later turned into hatred. After defeating Balrog, Gandalf became more powerful than Saruman, and then he was finally able to stop the evil wizard.

The Autobots and Decepticons have fought each other for years as they are the respective leaders of the above-mentioned factions. Megatron wanted to destroy Earth and only Optimus was strong enough to stop him. Their ideologies prove that they can never co-exist and they are meant to be natural enemies.

Sherlock Holmes and Moriarty are perfect for each other. Both of them are exceptionally smart and intelligent. Moriarty is the ultimate enemy of Sherlock as only he has the prowess to outclass the master detective. They have locked horns since the very beginning and their rivalry has immortalized the work of Sir Conan Doyle.

Professor X and Magneto were like brothers at the beginning but Magneto had a very radical approach, and that is what created a rift between both the characters. Both of them are among the strongest and have fought several times. Professor X believes that humans can co-exist with mutants but Magneto wants to annihilate humans for taking everything from him.

Agent Smith is one of the most ruthless and cruel villains of all time and to fight such a villain you need someone special, that is where Neo comes in. They have engaged in several legendary fights that the fans find spectacular. We just hope that Agent Smith makes a return in the 4th installment of Matrix, as the movie would be incomplete without him.
