Even Leonardo DiCaprio Can’t Explain Inception’s Ending

The devotees of Christopher Nolan would agree to the fact that Inception is his best film. Sure there may be an argument between ‘The Dark Knight’ and ‘Inception’, but let’s just focus on Inception for now. Open-ended films are absolutely fantastic. Joker was the best film with an open ending last year, but Inception was probably the greatest open-ended film of the last decade. Inception’s Ending is still rather oblivious to fans. Almost 10 years have passed and people are still confused. As it turns out, so is Leonardo DiCaprio.

Christopher Nolan

He appeared on podcast WTF With Marc Maron (via EW) and talked about Inception’s tricky ending. He said:

“I have no idea. You’re just focused on your character, man. When it came to Chris Nolan and his mind and how that was all pieced together, everyone was trying to constantly put that puzzle together… It depends on the eye of the beholder, I guess.”

There are multiple theories and videos which have tried to explain the ending of Inception. Nolan obviously wanted the fans to have their own understanding of how the film ended. It was nice to see Cobb finally be at peace having reunited with his kids. Whether he was stuck in a dream or was it all real, was left for us to decipher. But still, it was a piece of art and we loved it.

Leonardo DiCaprio Inception’s Ending

If he succeeds, it will be the perfect crime, but a dangerous enemy anticipates Cobb’s every move.”
