Doctor Doom & Adam Warlock Series:
Disney+ is allowing Marvel to do everything that they weren’t able to before. They can now give practically any character a backstory and then just put them in the crossover films. That’s because all the Disney+ Marvel shows will be cannon to the main MCU. The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight & She-Hulk are all stories that couldn’t have happened on the big screen. But there’s no stopping Marvel. There are more characters who need proper screen time, and new reports are suggesting that even Major characters like Doctor Doom & Adam Warlock are gonna get their solo Disney+ shows.
Adam Warlock was teased at the very end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Now, Vol.3 will take place 9 years later in MCU’s timeline, and Warlock will probably be an antagonist in the movie. But where does he go from there? By the time Warlock was teased in Vol. 2, it’s clear that He has been alive for the past nine years. But where has he been? Was he also snapped out of existence? If not, then a solo Disney+ series could really explore the past of Adam. And, it could even dive into the future of the character post-Vol. 3 where Adam redeems himself as a hero.
We Got This Covered states that Marvel is planning to bring an Adam Warlock series to life. There’s obviously no time to explore him in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 since High Evolutionary is said to be the main villain and there are so many characters from the main team as well. So it would make sense for Adam Warlock to get a series. All characters cannot get solo films.
Nova & Silver Surfer are already said to be two characters who are getting solo films in the MCU, and there are other Earth-based heroes who will also get solo films. So, it will make sense if Marvel does use Disney+ to explore Adam Warlock. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will definitely release in 2022 or 2023. So, the Adam Warlock series could be put out on Disney+ in 2023 or 2024.
Another character who has been rumored for a solo Disney+ series is Doctor Doom. As we’ve mentioned above, the quota of solo films is probably gonna be filled. Doctor Doom won’t even be a part of the Fantastic Four movie either, so the only way left to introduce him parallel to the Fantastic Four is through Disney+.
Doctor Doom is a major character and Marvel will definitely want him to be the main Earth-Based villain of the next storyline that they’re building. And, it comes from MCU Cosmic that Doctor Doom will get his solo Disney+ series before he makes a debut in any movie.
What’s great is that Marvel actually has a way to introduce him already. Comicbook.com had already laid down his connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the past. In the comics, Victor Von Doom goes on to become the leader of Latveria, another fictional country just like Sokovia. Now Latveria and Sokovia are generally in the same area. Bulgaria’s southern part is the country that Ultron destroyed, and towards the North is Latveria which is sandwiched between Hungary and Serbia. Now the link between Sokovia to Latveria might be difficult to achieve but it could certainly be done by having the people of both Sokovia and Latveria following Victor Von Doom.
Sokovia was completely obliterated by Ultron, and then Thanos’ Snap could have further put a hold to the redevelopment of the country. So people could look at Victor Von Doom as their new leader who will help them rebuild things in a new light! It’s just amazing that even though Marvel had to stick with the no mutants & Fantastic Four policy for so many years, they still can bring in those characters without actually doing a lot.
Let’s see whether these two rumors will ever come true or not!
