10 New MCU Phase 4 Rumours You Need to Know ASAP

As far as rumors go, we have to give it to the Marvel Cinematic Universe since they tend to have a lot of those. Some might be true. A majority of them turn out to be false. But they are intriguing to listen and interesting to think about. After Spider-Man: Far From Home comes to the theatres on July 2 it is a whole new world for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. No one knows what happens next. A lot of theirs have come forward to fill that void. But only a few of them are actually worthy of even being considered. Remember MCU fan theories are a dime a dozen and rumors regarding the Marvel movies can be tricky and must also be always taken with a pinch of salt. So without further ado, we bring you the top ten MCU Phase 4 theories that if true, could change the very face of the MCU as we know it. Presenting – 10 New MCU Phase 4 Rumours You need to know ASAP!!

Solo Hulk Movie

MCU Phase 4 Rumours

The rights still remain with Universal. But like Marvel made a deal with Sony for Spider-Man, an agreement could be made with Universal to share the rights of the Hulk with them. The Hulk is too valuable an asset to just be a side character in every major Marvel Movie. All the Hulk has been involved in nowadays in the movies is when the Avengers need some muscle. Bruce Banner is much more than just cannon fodder. The Hulk has incredibly engaging comic book storylines that could be used for a live-action Hulk adaptation under the Marvel banner. The Planet Hulk storyline’s prospects of being turned into a movie were destroyed after Thor: Ragnarok used its story elements. But World War Hulk is still available. We hope if the rumors of a Solo Hulk Movie are actually true, we at least get to see the World War Hulk storyline in action.

Netflix Marvel TV Stars get into the MCU

MCU Phase 4 Rumours

Now, this might be a little far-fetched but the rumours are based on some pretty profound evidence. As soon as Disney revealed that it was making an online streaming play in the name of Disney+, Netflix let go of all its Marvel Superheroes. But we are missing quite the bigger picture here. Why would Netflix let go of Daredevil and the Defenders, some of the most profitable assets in their platform? Some say that the reason is Netflix is trying to trim down competition for Disney+ since Daredevil and the likes are basically Marvel properties and by streaming their shows, they are providing Disney+ with free publicity. But we say bullshit. There is a strong chance that Netflix let go of those shows because it was made to. It is probably because Disney intends to bring the popular superheroes into the movie universe.

Enter the Illuminati

MCU Phase 4 Rumours

Comprising of superheroes from every aspect of the superhero community like mutants, Inhumans, magic, and even from nations like Atlantis and Wakanda, the Illuminati were responsible for silently taking decisions and trying to save humanity. They were the secret circle that decided the fate of the world. Captain America, Black Panther, Hank Pym, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, and Bruce Banner already exist in the MCU. With the X-Men coming as well, Professor X will also become a member. And as far as Black Bolt is concerned, the Inhumans TV Show is set in the MCU itself.

Beta Ray Bill in GOTG Volume 3

MCU Phase 4 Rumours

We only saw a glimpse of hi in Thor 3. Beta Ray Bill is a very popular character associated with the Thor comic book arcs. In the comics universe, Beta Ray Bill was worthy enough to lift Thor’s Hammer and this was given his own version of Mjolnir duped the Stormbreaker.  Since Thor is going to be a part of the Guardians of the Galaxy, or the “Asgardians” of the Galaxy according to the Odinson, a Reddit user who has always given us confirmed news in the past confirmed that Beta Ray Bill will have a short appearance in GOTG Volume 3.

Quasar will be in GOTG Volume 3

MCU Phase 4 Rumours

It looks like Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 will have a lot of incoming guests this time around. Apart from Thor and the aforementioned Beta Ray Bill appearance, another cosmic superhero will also be joining the fray. Quasar is coming to the MCU and he will make his official debut in the movies via GOTG Volume 3. Like Beta Ray Bill, Quasar will also have a very short appearance. Remember Adam Warlock is also going to finally appear in GOTG Volume 3 and so is the High Evolutionary. We hope it doesn’t become too crowded, cosmically speaking.

Norman Osborn will replace Thanos as the next big bad wolf

MCU Phase 4 Rumours

Rumours have already started circulating that Norman Osborn aka the Green Goblin and Spiderman’s greatest foe is coming to the theatres when Spiderman: Far From Home hits the big screens on July 2. After Shield was disbanded following the events of The Winter Soldier, many claim that Norman Osborn will become the new Director of Shield, which will be renamed as H.A.M.M.E.R. This will begin the ascent of the acclaimed Dark Reign storyline into the movies. Osborn has become a truly menacing foe and he could fill the shoes of the Mad Titan pretty easily.

Captain Marvel 2 will also be a prequel

MCU Phase 4 Rumours

Rumours have already started claiming that the sequel to the Captain Marvel movie will be set between Captain Marvel and Endgame. And that, to be honest, makes a lot of sense. There is a time gap of more than twenty years before the Thanos Snap Decimation event happens. In Endgame, we see that Carol Danvers is more experienced when it comes to handling her powers. She is also very jaded when it comes to returning back to her own home. The sequel to Captain Marvel will help explain what and how changed that about Carol Danvers.

Kang the Conqueror will also be a major villain

MCU Phase 4 Rumours

After Ant-Man and the Wasp introduced the Quantum Realm and Avengers: Endgame used it to do the same for Time Travel, it opens up a way for a huge Marvel Super-villain to finally take the first steps into becoming the next big menace! Kang the Conqueror is actually a descendant of Mister Fantastic of the Fantastic Four and he uses time travel to alter entire timelines, which he then rules after changing the odds to his favour. The rumours say that Kang the conqueror will be one half the villain duo, the other being Norman Osborn, that will terrorize the Earth’s mightiest heroes next.

Nova is finally coming to the MCU

MCU Phase 4 Rumours

Guess which movie Nova is going to make an appearance in? You are right (probably)! Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 will not only be the stage that introduces Quasar, Adam Warlock, and Beta Ray Bill into the MCU but also Nova. Since Marvel is making its push towards outer space with movies like Captain Marvel 2 and GOTG Volume 3, Nova was bound to come into the scene at one point or another. His planet Xandar is now in ruins. The Nova Corps is in shambles. The circumstances are perfect for Nova to make his mark as the saviour of the Xandarian race.

The Rock is coming to the MCU

MCU Phase 4 Rumours

As of Jumanji, The Fast and Furious movies and Rampage were not enough the Rock wants a bigger piece of the Box Office pie. Roger Wardell, who is following the Rock’s shenanigans in social media, claims that all the Rock is doing is trying to build up the hype so that Marvel fixes up a meeting with him. He is already starring as Black Adam in the DCEU. Whether or not Marvel allows an actor who is playing an anti-hero for a rival studio to play a lead superhero role in theirs, is still a long shot, to be frank. Let us hope the Rock manages to get in as he plans. Because it would be freaking awesome!!
