Don Cheadle Replies to a Marvel Fan Who Spotted a Great Difference Between Rhodey & Tony Stark
Marvel fans have created such a loyal fanbase that no other fanbase seems to examine or research think like Marvel’s. I’m saying this because once again a Marvel fan has spotted a great difference between Don Cheadle’s Rhodey aka War Machine and Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark aka Iron Man. The question was so brilliant that even Don Cheadle couldn’t resist answering.
So, a Twitter user ‘@guywithfoureyes’ asked and tweeted,
“Watching Iron Man 2 now and I honestly couldn’t imagine anyone playing Rhodey other than you. But I’ve always wondered, how was Rhodey able to pilot the Mark 1 without prior experience? While it took time for Tony to master the suit. It’s been bugging me for 9 years now. Lol.”
After this question, Don Cheadle replied very quickly with the perfect answer and conclusion. He tweeted,
“I’m a pilot and the suit was designed to be intuitive. if Tony would have any cockpit experience, the learning curve wouldn’t have been as steep and he wouldn’t have crashed around like an idiot … see? now you’ve made me sad talking about my friend. damn …”
Well, Don Cheadle has been a fan-favorite since his debut and becoming the right hand of Iron Man. And, also there were a lot of talks about his spin-off film but, Marvel Studios earlier this year stated that the project has been canceled. Cheadle expressed his thoughts about the same in an interview and had said,
“No. We kicked it around a bit,” Cheadle added. “There was definitely going to be a lot of tension between his job as a military man and his allegiances to the code that he swore an oath to uphold, versus the changing world. I think they probably would have run afoul of each other a little bit, but I don’t know if he would have been a straight fugitive, or if he would have become decommissioned. But there was definitely going to be some tension between those two worlds,”
