Avengers: Endgame is done and dusted but we won’t stop talking about it. Unlike Captain Rogers, we don’t tell people to move on, because it’s “Not Us.” The creatives have revealed so much about the film. Writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely and Directors Joe & Anthony Russo have taken part in so many interviews, Q&As, and Podcasts but we didn’t really get anything from Kevin Feige. Well, now we have.
Recently, the big man Feige participated in a Reddit Ask Me Anything thread and was asked about the specifics of the snap as people could have returned in very inconvenient places. We saw that everyone who was snapped from Titan or Wakanda or anywhere else portalled into the battlefield from that exact same place. But that may not have been the case for everyone.
Let’s go back to the first snap and think about some very inconvenient but logical situations of people getting turned to dust. Imagine that right when the Snap happened, someone could have been taking a dump half naked in a bathroom. But coming back 5 years later with the Hulk’s snap, what if the bathroom’s not there anymore and there has been an open road constructed in that place? A half-naked man appearing outta nowhere would surely seem pretty funny.
This is the kind of question that a Reddit user asked Feige (but only a bit more logical) on the AMA Q&A:
“Hi Kevin, thanks for doing the AMAA!
People have expressed views that, in Endgame, those brought back by the snap could have died in accidents (like someone being brought back 100 ft in the air where a plane used to be). Is it possible that Hulk, when doing the snap, not only brought everyone back, but also brought them back in a safe place?
Thanks and have a good one!”
As you can see, Feige cleared 2 things in his answer. First and foremost, it’s not Hulk, it’s not Professor Hulk, it’s Smart Hulk! But we can safely say that Smart Hulk with one good hand! And the second thing is that yes Banner did bring everyone back safely and in a convenient position. He also tried to bring back Natasha but that didn’t happen. But we can assume that he must have done right by the others.
But what people probably haven’t asked Feige is that was it the Smart Hulk Snap that tore a hole in Earth 616’s dimension? The new Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer showed us that there’s a whole Multiverse that has come into play because of the snap. But what it did not tell us is that whose Snap was it? It surely couldn’t have been Thanos’ snap because why would different dimensions merge 5 years later and not right after the first snap in 2018. It could have been the snap of either of the two science bros but let’s assume that the Hulk was responsible for the multiverse convergence.
