Godzilla 2 Teaser Trailer –
When Legendary Entertainment announced that they were making a Godzilla reboot in 2012, we were all stumped and wanted the Studio to stop. The Hollywood movie-making machine is notorious for taking Asian tropes and white-washing the entire thing to make a white themed, “America is the center of the World” kind of movie. Godzilla is strictly a Japanese invention. That must be respected at all costs. Nevertheless, Godzilla released a few years later and even though the white-washing was evident, at least the story was good enough this time. And the fan-following for the Monster-Verse is only growing higher and higher as the world braced itself for Kong: Skull Island released a few years after Godzilla.
Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters will only add fuel to the fire. Up until now, the highly anticipated sequel was only shown to us in glimpses. Now, the Studio has finally released something way more substantial to anchor onto. Presenting – Godzilla 2 Teaser Trailer and 5-minute original footage released online!!!
An Extended sneak-peak of the sequel was released by Legendary Pictures a while ago and it contains way more details than you could ever imagine. The extended sneak-peek teaser trailer is what the fans had been longing for ever since they saw the first teaser trailer online. The teaser was released by the Studio into the HBO Now servers. That’s right.
If you are an HBO Bow subscriber, you can watch a full 5-minute monster fight scene entirely for free. And that is all original footage from the movie’s actual run time. Not just that, the Studio’s twitter handle also shared a 1 minute Kaiju fight scene for the non-HBO Now, subscribers. Things are getting quite interesting in the Monster-Verse.
While you have to go to the HBO Now website or app to view the 5-minute footage, we can give you the video link for the 1 minute free for all footage monster fight sequence of Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters. The official teaser itself was released a month ago and the extended sneak peek teaser trailer is a rather decorated version of the original one, complete with a background score of ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ song from “The Wizard of Oz” movie.
The video reveals how humans realize that they need to aid Godzilla in defeating the new monsters that have now threatened humanity with mass extinction. Here is the video we are talking about:

We can assure you one thing though – Godzilla is not alone in this fight. The greatest threat this time is definitely King Ghidorah, a monster that has actually defeated Godzilla multiple times in the past in one on one matches. To level the playing field, Godzilla is supposedly reinforced by all the three remaining monsters – Rodan, Mothra, and Kumonga. We will know for sure when the movie hits the screens.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters is not the only Monster Kaiju movie you need to drool over. The Studio claims that it is already planning to produce a Mothra movie and a Kong vs. Godzilla movie. There is also talks of a third Godzilla movie and a second Kong movie is also in the works. The future looks bright for the King of Monsters.
The Japanese Kaiju trope is in good hands now. Let us hope they do not make the white-washing and the addition of cultural stereotypes that have always been born in western movies, any more prevalent than it already is. Here’s to the King of Monsters. All Hail the King!!!
The sequel to Godzilla, titled Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters, is set for release on the 30th of May, 2019. The official film synopsis for the movie reads:
Members of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When this ancient super-species-thought to be mere myths-rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.
