There are a lot of horror movies out there and some of them are literally scary and have injured a lot of people out there mentally. But, there are also a lot of horror movies in this world which are underrated for no reason and it is really pathetic and sad to see that movies with such interesting concepts in the wrapper of horror have been neglected by the fans all over the world.
So, today we are going to talk about the horror movies who has been discarded by many because somewhere deep down they knew they won’t be able to watch these. So, the list is down below and I want you to see all of these if you’re a true fan of horror and also searching for some really good horror movies.
1. It Follows:
It is one of the most famous cult classic horror movies but still underrated by a lot of people out there. The story of the movie is really interesting as we see that a monster follows a person in the movie and moves at a walking pace and if it catches you then it’ll kill you.
The only way to pass the curse is that you have to sleep with someone. Also, the most lethal part is that the monster can come disguised as a loved one or as a stranger and you’ll never be able to recognize it. This movie is really one of the best.
2. Last Shift:
The movie has a very interesting story as it is about a rookie cop named Jessica Loren who is assigned the duty of being there in the police station with all the biomedical evidence present in there as she waits for the hazardous-materials crew to pick up the things. What she finds was quite disturbing as all the things turned up into her biggest nightmare.
3. Stay Alive:
The plot of the movie is really scary and I bet a lot of gaming lovers are going to boycott this movie as the story of the movie is about a bunch of teenagers who were playing online games in order to pass their time but it takes a turn the moment they realize that whenever a player will die in the game, the person who was controlling it will also die. The movie is quite interesting and has been made quite incredibly.
4. Dead Silence:
The movie was made with keeping Saw in mind but the movie couldn’t reach the heights of that movie but was quite a good one because the movie unfolds the story of a widowed man who is trying his best in order to solve the mystery of his wife’s murder and while doing that, he finds something scary as he is faced with a ghost of a ventriloquist who is the murderer. The ending of the movie is really a good one and will advise you to watch this one for sure.
5. Train To Busan:
I’m not going to hold anything in my stomach as for me, this is the best zombie movie ever made in the Zombieverse because the movie holds a lot of great stories in it with some sacrifices in the way. Having Zombies in one compartment of the train in which you’re traveling is simply an incredibly scary thing and I have to say that the actors in the movie were also quite tremendous in their performance.
The direction and also some scenes of the train terminal were outrageous and this movie is simply one of the best zombie movies ever if not the best for you.
6. Emelie:
Well, most of the people don’t expect the idea of an ‘Evil Babysitter’ in a movie because it’s simply not quite scary in the first place but that’s exactly what I’m saying. I want you all to take the second step and watch this one because the movie was applauded by a lot of critics all over the world because of its plot and direction. The movie is about a babysitter who has three children to babysit and it appears that she is the sweetest babysitter in the whole world only to realize later that the woman is Evil.
7. Hellraiser:
The movie is still one of the best movies out there but not quite successful in creating the hype like other movies as the movie is all about a couple who goes into an old house as they both want to see the brother of that man and also the former lover of the woman.
The two then become some ugly beasts in the movie. Then it takes a deadly turn and shows that the ugly beast now wants to kill the woman in order to come back in his old form. The movie is quite good to have some real scars.
8. The Uninvited:
This movie is really one of my favorites as the movie is about a character named Anna who has been out of the mental asylum. She isn’t particularly mad but she isn’t able to live in this world for she blames herself for the death of her mother and does a lot of crazy and weird things. Her sister, Alex also joins her in order to avenge their beloved mother’s death. The movie is quite disturbing also and the fans of horror will have some headaches after this one.
9. House On Haunting Hill:
The movie is really good and has been directed by William Malone and the story of the movie is quite interesting as the movie shows us that a millionaire provoked some people in order to live in a haunted house in the return of a huge amount of money that is $1,000,000. A group of people agrees and in order to see what happens, you will have to watch the movie. It’s really scary and interesting.
10. Sinister:
Well, you’ll not believe what I’m about to say but it’s true that I’m one of those people in the world who couldn’t finish watching this movie and in order to know about its ending, I had to Wikipedia it because the movie is really scary. Well, the fans of Insidious should watch this one as it is somehow better than Insidious, believe me, if you’re a true fan of horror. You’re going to be delighted with this one.
11. The Host:
The movie isn’t going to scare you but instead of that, this movie is going to drag you till the end because the movie is all about a monster coming out of the sea and taking a girl away from her home. The monster is really creepy and sinister but in order to watch this one, you should keep your hands far away from your mouth as you might end up biting your nails the moment this monster will make its way into the movie. This South-Korean movie is simply incredible and a horror movie without jump-cuts is a thing you shouldn’t miss out on.
12. Ginger Snaps:
The movie is quite interesting as we are going to see a Werewolf attacking two teen girls and in order to get away from those, one of the teen girls make some really sharp and important decisions as the movie is really an intriguing one and the people who are thinking of this movie as a kind of a joke and think that a werewolf is not so scary should accept the challenge and watch this one as the cinematic effects in the movie are quite commendable and also, the sound effects which are really scary will bring tension in the mind of the viewers.
13. Trick ‘R Treat:
The movie has four characters and all the characters are quite interesting. The first character is a principal of a high-school who is a serial killer, second, a girl looking and searching for the right guy, third, a woman who is quite weird and also despises Halloween and marries to a man who loves it, and also a group of little teenagers who took a prank way far than the limits. The movie has great essence of Halloween and also there’s a lot of blood, cuts, scares, and horrific scenes in the movie.
14. Cold Prey:
This Norwegian movie was originally called ‘Fritt Vilt’ but the title was changed because of some reasons. Well, we are not going to talk about it and instead, I’m going to talk about the movie as it is a story of a group of friends going on the mountains for a skiing trip. No one from the group knew, of course, that they’re going to face something really scary. The movie is really a must watch as the horror in the movie is very different and fresh. Don’t read about it as it’ll ruin the movie.
15. Terrifier:
Well, I simply can’t understand the reason why clowns were introduced in this world as the motive of their existence or usage seems to be getting in a completely different way as I never seen a clown who makes me laugh or is funny as it’s always a sense of tension in my head whenever I see a clown and it seems like he’s going to run towards me and going to kill me the moment I’ll take away my eyes from him. This movie is for the fans of clowns but they should be quite brave for this one as it is really scary than the Pennywise.
