Did Robert Downey Jr. Reveal Tony Stark’s New Car in Avengers 4?

While we have seen more than 50 Iron Man suits in the MCU, there are some more amazing things that we have seen changing with all the movies involving Tony Stark. Those certainly are the new Audi cars being used in the films. While the movies have certainly used other brands of cars as well, but the cars that Tony always drives are the different versions of Audi R8s. Now it seems that we have already gotten our first look at Tony’s new Audi in Avengers 4.

Marvel always ties with big car brands right before they feature those in their movies and for most movies throughout the decade, it has been Audi that has been exclusively featured rather than any other brands of cars.

Now, it seems that this trend will be followed by Avengers 4 as well because Robert Downey Jr. has recently appeared at a new unveiling for Audi’s E-Tron GT which could very well be the new car that Tony drives in Avengers 4. Have a look at Robert Downey Jr. unveiling the new Audi E-Tron GT.

We have seen throughout the 3 Iron Man films, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War that Audi is surely the preferred choice of ride for Tony Stark, and since Avengers 4 is his final film, he has to have the trademark Tony moments. So it is more or less a no-brainer that Tony will be seen around an Audi sometime in the film if not driving one and it also makes total sense for him to drive the latest version of Audi, which is the E-Tron GT. Here’s and Iron Man themed Audi E-Tron GT:

Movies have actually been able to tweak the real versions of these big branded cars, so it may even be plausible for Avengers 4 to have a tweaked and upgraded version of Audi’s E-Tron GT. Perhaps his Audi could in fact turn into a new Iron Man suit this time, who knows! We have seen a lot of different versions of Iron Man suits but not that. Although the Nanotech suits will not leave any room for a transformer Audi suit for Tony, but still you could at least imagine.

But with the major events going on in Avengers 4, it is very doubtful that we may even get an Audi moment like that. With half the population out, Tony would be at work trying to devise a new plan to prevent Earth from further threats and of course, reverse the snap. So he cannot be out there buying new Audi’s with all that on his plate. Still, Tony driving an Audi is a character defining moment for him so the Russos must have found a way to stuff that in the 3 hour cut that they currently have for the film.

We know that the movie will focus upon the Quantum Realm and time travel but there are going to be some unforeseen elements in Avengers 4. Here’s what the writers of the film had to say about the unexpectedness of the film:

“Christopher Markus – [Avengers 4] doesn’t do what you think it does. It is a different movie than you think it is…Also…[the deaths are] real. I just want to tell you it’s real, and the sooner you accept that, the sooner you will be able to move on to the next stage of grief.

Stephen McFeely – Put it this way, I think [Infinity War] is a fairly mature movie for a blockbuster. It’s got a lot of fun in it, obviously, but boy, it gets very mature. The second one is also mature. We’re going to own these choices, and hopefully surprise and delight you and get you invested. It’s by the same studio, the same filmmaking team. They were written at the same time, shot at the same time. They’re clearly connected, but they are definitely two different movies, one of which is dependent on what happened previous.”

Rest, the first trailer for Avengers 4 may clear things. Avengers 4 will arrive on May 3, 2019. Here’s the official Synopsis:

“A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.”
