Makkhi is the title given to the Hindi dubbed version to the Telugu language fantasy film Eega from the year 2012, which is directed by S. S. Rajamouli and written by K. V. Vijayendra Prasad while co-produced by Korrapati Ranganatha Sri and Daggubati Suresh Babu under the production banners of Varahi Chalana Chitram and distributed by 14 Reels Entertainment and PVP Cinemas.
The film features Sudeep, Nani and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles. Also, it features music composed by M. M. Keeravani and the background score. Cinematography and editing are done by K. K. Senthil Kumar and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao respectively.
Eega was released on 6th July 2012 with 134 running time and a budget of INR 400 million. This is a bilingual film which released in both Telugu and Tamil and was later dubbed in Hindi as Makkhi and in Malayalam as Eecha. The film grossed really well at the box office earning INR 1.25 billion.
