‘How To Train Your Dragon 3’: A Fan Favorite Character Is Set To Return From The Dead

DreamWorks Animation is coming with the third and final installment in the How to Train Your Dragon series with the upcoming sequel entitled as “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World”. The upcoming movie is going to be released on March 1, 2019, and is going to tell us more about the Hiccup, as after becoming the Chief of Berk, Hiccup has fulfilled his dream of creating a peaceful dragon utopia, while the sudden discovery of a wild, elusive mater lures toothless away. When danger threatens their village and tests of Hiccup’s reign as the Chief failed. Hiccup and Toothless are forced to leave the only home they know. As they travel to a hidden world thought to only exist in myth, both rider and dragon will fight together to every end to protect everything they love.

Entertainment Weekly, went into the narrowest of places to gather something about the movie and what they found will amaze you a lot and surely more than the news of the use of 3D Computers and many other upgraded technologies getting used in the sequel of the movie. But, it’s the news of the return of Gerard Butler’s amazing and important character –Stoick the Vast. Vast sacrificed himself in the end of “How to Train Your Dragon 2”. But, reports suggested that Vast is coming back for the fans through flashbacks for his son Hiccup, in order to make him a wise leader of the Berk.

But, some good news is on the line for fans as The Entertainment Weekly hinted that this upcoming movie is going to play with time more than the previous ones and also stated about an early scene by saying that,

“One early but pivotal scene finds Hiccup recalling his (Unfathomably adorable) toddler self-first hearing Stoick’s tale about a secret home of dragons hidden behind a great waterfall somewhere at the edge of the world. Stoick’s dream was to seal it off and stop the fighting between dragons and humans. Hiccup, however, sees the utopia as a potential new home where the people and pets of Berk can safely relocate; he’s proud, if inadvertently, turned Berk into a bustling Viking metropolis of human-dragon cooperation, but with each dragon Hiccup rescues from trappers, he increases the target in Berk’s back to a less tolerant outside world.”

The expectations from the final and third installment are far higher than the previous ones because the success both previous films have had. The film was released March 26, 2010, and was a critical and commercial success, earning acclaim from the critics and audiences and earning nearly $500 million worldwide. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film and Best Original Score at the 83rd Academy Awards but eventually lost the award to Toy Story 3 and the Social Network. But, the movie won ten Annie Awards, including the Best Animated Feature Film. It is the fifth-highest-grossing animated film of 2010 and 10th-highest-grossing movie of 2010. So, the franchise got to a dream start and the production delivered the sequel of the movie four years later.

On June 13, 2014, “How to Train Your Dragon 2” came out and just like the previous one it collects a lot of praise and received a wide acclaim, with critics praising the animation, voice acting, musical score, action sequences, emotional depth, and darker, more serious approach compared to its previous one. It won the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. The film won six Annie Awards, including the Best Animated Feature Film.

The film also collects a lot of money and grossed over $621 million worldwide, making it the 12th-highest-grossing film of 2014. The movie was a big-big hit internationally as the movie had an opening weekend of $25.9 million which was the biggest-ever for an animated movie in the country, surpassing the record held by Kung Fu Panda 2.
