Ant-Man and the Wasp is not the biggest MCU blockbuster but it was a decent sequel to 2015’s Ant-Man. The story is set in the aftermath of Civil War when Scott Lang aka Ant-Man was captured by the government.
Later, Cap came for him but he chose not to become a fugitive, instead, he accepted the plea deal offered by the government. He will remain under house arrest as part of the deal, that’s why he was not available during the Infinity War.
But he broke his plea deal as Hank Pym sent Lang to rescue his long-lost wife Janet Van Dyne from the Quantum realm where is stuck for years. Pym defined Quantum Realm as a place where all concepts of time and space become irrelevant.
‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ is about to complete its successful theatrical run after earning over $600 million at the global box office and pushing the franchise’s total collection to over $1 billion. It will soon be available to stream on digital services in October, according to a Reddit Thread.
But before the theatrical run gets over, Marvel Studios has already started teasing some special scenes that might be a part of the digital version when the movie hits home video next month.
Ant-Man and Wasp star Evangeline Lilly recently posted a photo on Twitter, giving a glimpse at a deleted scene from the movie, where she and Paul Rudd can be seen sharing some quality time while on a lunch break. Take a look at the scene below:
Hopefully, we’ll get to see more scenes like these that weren’t a part of the final cut of the movie when the movie releases in HD and Blu-Ray version.
Earlier, The director of the movie, Peyton Reed said that there still could be so many things fans have missed, which were hinted or dropped as easter-eggs:
“Yeah, there’s a lot of little-hidden things. I mean, definitely as you go through Hank Pym’s laboratory, on the practical set and then some of the stuff we added later digitally, there are a lot of weird, little Easter eggs and things. And then as we kind of go further down into the Quantum Realm in this movie, there definitely is some things to sort of look for. That was a challenge, the Quantum Realm, ’cause it really could be infinite. It could be anything. And figuring out how much of our story took place in the Quantum Realm and particularly like designing that last act that cross-cuts between the chase and the Quantum Realm. But there’s stuff to look for in there definitely.”
The movie has an incredibly talented cast including Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/ Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne/ Wasp, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfieffer as Janet Van Dyne, Lawrence Fishburne as Dr. Bill Foster, Judy Greer as Maggie (Scott’s former wife), Michael Pena as Luis, Abby Ryder Fortson as Cassie (Scott’s daughter), Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch, Hannah John-Kammen as Ghost, Randall Park as Jimmy Woo.
The official synopsis of the movie reads:
“Scott Lang is grappling with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. Approached by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym, Lang must once again don the Ant-Man suit and fight alongside the Wasp. The urgent mission soon leads to secret revelations from the past as the dynamic duo finds itself in an epic battle against a powerful new enemy”.
