The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been at its best in this year, as it has already grossed over $3.3 Billion Worldwide and there is yet another movie to come which will surely make at least $700 Million for sure. So Grossing over $4 Billion with 3 movies is insanity! Infinity War got to $2 Billion just yesterday and now next up we have Ant-Man and the Wasp which will be a prequel to Infinity War.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is being marketed perfectly as it is asking the question that prevails in everyone’s minds ever since they saw Avengers: Infinity War which is, “Where were Ant-Man and the Wasp?” As we have seen the trailers, we know that The Quantum Realm is going to play a very significant role in the story of Ant-Man and the Wasp, as Pym and his team will be working upon going into the Quantum Realm to bring back Janet Van Dyne, who was the original Wasp and will be played by Michelle Pfeiffer.
The plot of the movie may go in a way where Pym who has now seen that one can go and come back from the Quantum Realm, will be working desperately to figure out a way by which he could bring Janet back. In doing so, he may unleash a threat named Ghost, who will strive for the power provided by the Pym Tech and will be after it. That is probably why we see so many chase sequences involving Hank Pym’s lab.
But all this looks to be before Infinity War. In the first trailer, we saw that Scott Lang is on House arrest and it was confirmed in Infinity War that Scott and Clint made a deal with the Government after they were freed from the Raft by Cap. As suggested by the trailers Hope and Pym were sticking together and probably working upon getting here mother back, but the answer we need would be revealed within the movie itself.
Well, Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly had a probable answer to this when they appeared in an Interview with NDTV, as they were asked this big “Where” question over there as well. Here’s what both of them said:
“Rudd – Well, it’s a great question.
Lilly – Explain yourself Ant-Man.
Rudd – I remember going to see Infinity War and they do mention that I was under House Arrest and that I was not able to leave. There’s a lot going on, a lot going on.”
Well, all this has been apparent with what we have seen till now, but to prevent giving away the big spoiler Lilly started to joke about something which may actually be a possibility. She continued:
“Lilly – For the record, I was there. I was just tiny.
Rudd – Well maybe I was too small and you just couldn’t see me either. I feel like I just piggybacked on your joke there.”
This may be a possibility, but the answer may actually be much more intricate than this. Perhaps they are telling the truth, and what they actually mean by this is that they may be in the Quantum Realm. This is also a simple assumption that comes to our mind, but who knows. We will find out about this when the movie comes out.
Along with Ant-Man, Wasp and Hank Pym, we are going to see Team Luis return in the movie, Lawrence Fishburne has also joined the cast as Bill Foster, Michelle Pfeiffer will be playing Janet Van Dyne, Walton Goggins will be playing a minor villain named Sonny Burch and the main villain, Ghost will be played by Hannah John Kamen.
Ant-Man and the Wasp will open on July 6 and here is the official Synopsis:
