The next project Marvel is looking to bring in after the grand event of Avengers: Infinity War is Ant-Man and the Wasp. The biggest question that arose after watching the biggest movie of all time, Avengers Infinity War was that where the hell were Ant-Man and the Wasp during the entire movie. So, the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp is going to give us the answer we want.
It is going to be a movie about opening the Quantum Realm that will come really handy in Avengers 4 as Ant-Man is going to have a major role in the movie according to what we have seen in the set photos. Just yesterday, we got to see the brand new story trailer of the movie and it was truly amazing. It extended from where the first trailer of the movie left off. Here, have a look:
This movie is going to give Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp the center stage this time around. The movie will heavily develop Wasp for the MCU. The first Ant-Man movie was actually a secret and slow origin for the Wasp as well, and finally, she is going to flap her wings in this one, kicking a whole lot of ass. Lilly is really excited for this movie to hit the theatres and she even compared it with the season 4 of hit TV series ‘Lost’.
Here’s what he said:
“When I heard about Infinity War and the direction that they’re heading, I did have this moment of realizing, oh, wow, there’s a bit of a déjà vu for me with the Lost franchise. We are hitting that Lost Season 4 space where everything’s about to shift, and you’re about to lose the solid ground underneath you. And Ant-Man and the Wasp, of course, will play a part in that. Those characters are experts in the quantum realm}. In Ant-Man and the Wasp, they are trying everything in their power to safely enter the Quantum Realm and return back from it because they have evidence from the first film that Scott Lang was able to do that. If he can do it, why can’t we? If we do succeed in Ant-Man and the Wasp, then that does open a whole entire new multi-verse to enter into and play around in. I’m not the story creator, so I can’t tell you what they’re going to do with that. But I definitely see the potential there.”
But it is sad to report this for the United Kingdom fans of Marvel, as the movie is going to be delayed for a whole month in the United Kingdom. Earlier the movie was going to come out on July 6, but now, it is going to release on 3rd August. The reason for this sudden delay is the whole month of soccer that is going to be held in July as it is the 2k18 Soccer World Cup that the entire world is there for.
Marvel wants to prevent competition against the World Cup as the earnings may be less if Ant-Man competes with the World Cup that the entire world cares about. Following Marvel, Disney and Universa; have also delayed The Incredibles 2 and Jurassic World 2 just in the UK. This decision does make sense but not as much as you would think.
UK is a huge Market for Hollywood movies which is why Marvel and other studios want to keep the earnings from there safe. But delaying the movies for a whole month would not be beneficial for the movies as UK helps creating major Box Office records when the movies come out along with the worldwide release. Moreover, people may not care much for the movie a month later as all the spoilers already hit the internet within a week. So the preventive measure Marvel and other studios are looking for may not be as efficient, and it could turn out to be a rather dumb decision.
In the rest of the world, Ant-Man and the Wasp opens on July 6. Here’s the official Synopsis:
