Venom Trailer Revealed Other Symbiotes That May Be The Villains Instead of Carnage

Venom is Sony’s upcoming project that is trying to make its own name and franchise in Hollywood. Since Sony is sharing Spider-Man with the MCU, they are looking to put their other characters to use and attain the full efficiency of everything they own into the trending Superhero Genre. We have seen two trailers till now. The first one teased the plot of the movie and did not really reveal anything big from the movie. The ultimate story trailer that gave us a good look at the movie came out yesterday, and we could not have asked for anything more.

The movie was reported to adapt the classic 90’s Marvel comics based on Lethal Protector storyline that sees Eddie Brock becoming a hero in San Francisco. Still, elements of the movie will obviously be altered so that the story fits better on the big screen.  Here’s everything you need to know before you watch the movie:

“Before the story begins, Venom makes an agreement with Spider-Man that they will leave each other alone, on the condition that Venom commits no crimes. Venom then moves from New York City to San Francisco and takes up with a group of Californian mole people. Shortly thereafter the father of one of Venom’s victims seeks him out with a group of super-powered mercenaries to take revenge. Spider-Man, seeing misleading coverage of Venom on television, heads to San Francisco to confront him and instead winds up fighting alongside Venom against five new offspring of the Venom Symbiote: Scream, Phage, Riot, Lasher, and Agony.”

Have a look at the trailer if you haven’t before we take a dive into the villains of the movie:

Earlier it was being rumored that Carnage is going to be the big villain of this movie. But as we saw in the trailer, there were other Symbiotes present as well. Since the movie is going to be loosely based upon “The Lethal Protector” storyline, we were probably going to see Venom fight against five new offspring of the Venom Symbiote: Scream, Phage, Riot, Lasher, and Agony.

So this means we are in for a big 5 on 1 fight for this movie. In the trailer we got a look at other test subjects in the Life Foundation building, and one of those was actually responsible for the Venom Symbiote to get attached with Eddie Brock. So the summary here concludes that Eddie Brock’s Symbiote makes a deal with him and he becomes an anti-hero who protects San Francisco in his own way. Then the test subjects that Carlton Drake was put in his lab will probably go rogue and wreak havoc in the city. Then comes in our saviour, Venom!

This is actually great and it does two things really well for the movie and the franchise. It sets up an epic battle for the end where we will be able to see how Venom stands against multiple Symbiotes. It builds the Universe for Venom and saves Carnage to be the big bad in the next movie. Carnage is the biggest character in Venom’s arsenal, so using him up in the first movie itself would not be a very good idea if the studios are looking to build a Venomverse.

The other big thing that is being rumored about the movie is that Tom Holland will probably have a cameo in the movie, but it will not be as Spider-Man, instead, he will appear as Peter Parker. For now, things look really good for this movie. People do not have big expectations with this movie since it is a Spider-Man spin-off and Sony has already screwed Venom once, but still, the new trailer confirmed that Venom will actually kick a lot of ass!

Venom Trailer Symbiotes Villains Carnage

This trailer gave us a very informative look at the movie, teased the story and still kept things hidden for us. Again, it was such an amazing trailer and since the previous trailer did not give us much, this one built upon that, got everyone interested, and increased the anticipation of the movie quite a lot. Remember, there are still almost 6 months left for the movie to come out as it opens in October, and the special effects for the movie are not finalized. The movie is currently deep under post-production, but they have managed to give us a fine look at Venom. We would not see the Spider-symbol upon his chest as it will be a different origin story for the Symbiote, but the trailer confirms one thing, which is that the movie will do justice to Venom!
