Batman v Superman: Snyder Confirms This Astonishing Rumor About ‘The Flash’ From The Future!!!

Batman v Superman aroused massive expectations among DC fans as they have been waiting for this epic showdown for years. The battle between two of the greatest superheroes – Superman and Batman should have been the mother of all battles, instead, it was a huge disappointment (if I am being honest). The fight between them was over before it even began and the reason given was the dumbest thing ever (Let’s not bring back Martha jokes now).

The movie was supposed to expand DCEU and set the stage for the ultimate Justice League. But it proved to be a lost opportunity. It adapted one of the most iconic graphic novels of Frank Miller titled “Dark Knight Returns” but it failed to capture the spirit of Miller’s amazing work. Henry Cavill aka Superman admitted that there were flaws in the movie despite the fact that movie made decent box-office earnings. Here is what he said:

“There was a style they were going for, an attempt to be different and look at things from a slightly different perspective, which hasn’t necessarily worked.”

“Yes, it has made money but it has not been a critical success; it hasn’t given everyone that sensation which superheroes should give the viewer. “I feel like now the right mistakes have been made and they haven’t been pandered to, and we can start telling the stories in the way they need to be told. It is even better to come back from a mistake or stylistic error into the correct vein because it will make it seem that much stronger. Wonder Woman was the first step in the right direction.”

But for DCEU’s failings, Snyder can’t be made a scapegoat as his vision was never allowed by WB to come to fruition. He had it all figured out but studio’s increasingly meddlesome tendencies in the day to day affairs of the creative team took a heavy toll on the DC cinematic universe. The only movie that broke the losing streak of DCEU was Wonder Woman where the director enjoyed creative freedom to the fullest extent possible.

Zack Snyder has developed a fearsome reputation for kicking in hidden references to his movies. He has done it time and again and every time he takes to the social media platforms to explain his shit, everyone loses theirs. The incredible attention to detail and the mind-blowing thought process this guy put in for making a movie as memorable as possible is so damn sure that it would make even his harshest of critics weep in joy. He has already answered a ton of questions regarding his DCEU directorial ventures.

And now Snyder has confirmed this astonishing rumor about the BVS Flash from the Future.

Zack Snyder has been replying to popular fan queries regarding his arguably best movie till date. Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice had way too many scenes that need to be cracked open like a case file but for now, let us all focus on the Knightmare scene in BVS. Zack Snyder’s tryst with the DC Extended Universe might be a short and bumpy one but he did what he could and he left guns blazing.

For now, he is out of bounds for the DCEU to be roped back in. But that hasn’t stopped him from quelling all kinds of rebellious questions his diehard fans hold. He recently answered why Batman used a spear in BVS rather than some modern weaponry to deliver the kryptonite. Any other question regarding his other movies like MoS and even Snyder’s Plan for Justice League 1 and 2 have been given apt answers.

Even after two long years, the cult classic BVS is still a hot debate and a trending topic of discussion. It was again put into the center of the limelight when Snyder took to his Social Media platform of Choice called Vero and answered a fan’s question about the Kryptonite Spear. After answering to multiple questions in Vero, he now turns his head towards the Flash sequence in Batman’s Knightmare Nightmare.

Snyder is creating his own marketing hurricane every time he replies on Vero. The latest comes at a time when BVS has again become a hot topic of discussion. The Flash sequence in BVS is the one we are talking about here. In BVS, the Flash is seen making a cameo appearance right after the four-minute Knightmare sequence.

Flash appears before Bruce right after the dream (or nightmare) and warns Bruce about Superman and Bruce being right from the very beginning. “Lois is the key” is what the Flash is heard saying. The scene confused a lot of fans and left many scratching their heads. In a recent social media update on Vero, Snyder confirms the Flash we see in BVS is actually from the Knightmare Timeline.

This is what Snyder said:

Snyder is clearly a fan of Nietzsche if his words are to be believed. His words are actually two-part versions of Nietzsche’s works. The first part ‘Parable of the Madman’ is an analogy for Clark and Lois. If the Earth loses the sun, it will die out. In BVS, Clark is the Earth and Lois is his Sun. If Lois dies, Clark turns dark and cold. There are multiple ways his words could be interpreted and frankly, that is what makes Snyder’s works so freaking interesting.

The second part concerns the scene where Flash claims he is too early. That is also one Nietzsche reference. In the Knightmare timeline, Superman has turned evil after he lost Lois Lane and realized the world is irredeemable and must be destroyed. To that end, he blames Batman for his loss. He is heard saying “She was my world, and you took her from me.” Batman is somehow responsible for Lois Lane’s death.

The Flash saw Superman ‘die’ after losing her and become something more evil, something that was more vulnerable to control via the Anti-Life Equation. That was a clear gateway for Justice League and the entry of Darkseid into the DCEU. Sadly, even armed with this awesome idea, Snyder’s idea never quite came to fruition.

Batman vs. Superman is available in DVD and Blu-Ray. The official film synopsis reads:

flash bvs

“It’s been nearly two years since Superman’s (Henry Cavill) colossal battle with Zod (Michael Shannon) devastated the city of Metropolis. The loss of life and collateral damage left many feeling angry and helpless, including crime-fighting billionaire Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck). Convinced that Superman is now a threat to humanity, Batman embarks on a personal vendetta to end his reign on Earth, while the conniving Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) launches his own crusade against the Man of Steel”.

The two iconic DC superheroes after a brief fight in BvS were seen in DC’s mega comic book ensemble ‘Justice League’. At the end of BvS, Superman died fighting Doomsday which was created by Lex Luthor. When the larger threat of Steppenwolf was looming large on humanity, Batman along with Wonder Woman began to put up an elite team of superheroes including Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg.

But soon Bruce realized that there is no way in hell JL can alone beat this monster, hence he used the mother box to resurrect Man of Steel, it worked and after initial hiccups, Superman joined the team in a new, powerful avatar.

Here is the official synopsis of the movie:

“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash — it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions”

Here is another official description released only for Wonder Woman fans:

“Once again, Wonder Woman must demonstrate her ability as a fierce warrior. Facing a great enemy, she and Batman join forces to recruit a group of meta-humans to stand against this newly awakened threat. Having formed an unprecedented League of heroes, they set out to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”
