Hollywood has grown really big as every year we keep getting movies that are really creative and revolutionary. Some movies are really great with the critics while some have gone on to really break the Box Office by earning an ocean of money for the production companies. Here are the highest grossing movies that have earned over a Billion Dollars worldwide ranked from lowest to highest.

33. The Dark Knight

Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight came out in 2008 and it is probably the best Superhero movie ever, but still, it stands last in the Billion Dollar club. The movie brought in $1.004 Billion at the worldwide box office with a Domestic Earning of $533 Million and an International Earning of $468 Million.

32. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

The first movie in the first movie of the Hobbit Trilogy came out in 2012, and managed to bag a huge $1.017 Billion on the worldwide box office. It brought in a Domestic Earning of $303 Million and an International Earning of $769 Million.

31. Zootopia

This amazing animated movie produced by Disney came out in 2016, and it brought in a hefty $1.019 Billion beating The Hobbit by just $2 Million. It brought in a Domestic Earning of $341 Million and an International Earning of $678 Million.

30. Finding Dory

The long-awaited sequel to the hit animated flick Finding Nemo came out in 2016, and it earned $1.022 Billion at the worldwide Box Office, out of which it earned $486 Million in US Box Office, and it grossed $536 Million internationally.

29. Alice in Wonderland

2010’s Alice in Wonderland packed a big star cast which helped it earn a huge $1.025 Billion at the worldwide Box Office which was divided in by a Domestic Earning of $334 Million and an International Earning of $691 Million.

28. Star Wars Ep. I: The Phantom Menace

The first Episode in the Star Wars prequel trilogy came out 1999 and it managed to gross an overall worldwide earning of $1.027 Billion. It brought in a Domestic Earning of $474 Million  and an International Earning of $552 Million.

27. Despicable Me 3

2017’s Despicable Me 3 was the only movie in the trilogy to bring in more than a Billion Dollars as it grossed $1.034 Billion worldwide was divided in by a Domestic Earning of $264 Million     and an International Earning of $769 Million.

26. Jurassic Park

This was a revolutionary movie as it was the first movie to go over a Billion Dollars coming out in 1993. It brought in a sum total of $1.038 Billion worldwide, out of which $395 Million was the domestic earning while $643 was international.

25. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

2011’s Pirates of the Caribbean was the 4th movie in the franchise and it managed to gross $1.045 Billion worldwide. Its Domestic Earnings were $241 Million while its International earnings were $804 Million.

24. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

2016’s spin off Star Wars movie was taken very well by the audiences at it earned $1.050 worldwide. It brought in a Domestic Earning of $532 Million and an International Earning of $518 Million.

23. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest

The second movie of the Pirates franchise came out in 2006. It managed to bring in a huge $1.066 Billion worldwide. It brought in a Domestic Earning of $423 and an International Earning of $642 Million.

22. Toy Story 3

2010 brought us the third Toy Story movie that made everyone nostalgic and brought in a hefty $1.069 Billion at the worldwide box office. It brought in a Domestic Earning of $415 Million and an International Earning of $654 Million.

The thirst movie in Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy came out in 2012 and it got all the Batman fans emotional which allowed it to gross $1.084 worldwide. It brought in a Domestic Earning of $448 Million and an International Earning of $636 Million.

2011’s Transformers was the third movie in the franchise, and it was certainly the best of all. This was proven by its earning as it grossed $1.123 worldwide. It brought in a Domestic Earning of $352 Million and an International Earning of $771 Million.

The third LOTR movie came out in 2003 and it earned a huge $1.141 Billion at the worldwide box office. It brought in a Domestic Earning of $377 Million and an International Earning of $763 Million.

2016 showed us the biggest character ensemble Marvel had ever done till then. It grossed $1.153 worldwide which was divided into $408 Million domestically and $745 Million internationally.

We got the prequel to Despicable Me in 2015 with Minions. The yellow creatures managed to earn $1.167 Billion in total. It was divided into $336 Million of Domestic Earnings and $831 Million of international earning.

12. The Fate of the Furious

2017 showed us the 8th edition in the Fast franchise. It did not manage to beat its predecessor, but it still grossed a huge $1.237 Billion worldwide. It brought in a Domestic Earning of $225 Million and an International Earning of a crazy $1.011 Billion.

2017’s fairy tale live action remake of Beauty and the Beast managed to gross $1.263 worldwide. It brought in a Domestic Earning of $504 Million and an International Earning of $759 Million.

The highest grossing animated feature has certainly been 2013’s Frozen that earned a massive $1.274 Billion. It earned $400 Million domestically and managed to bring in an International Earning of $873 Million.

9. Star Wars Ep. VIII: The Last Jedi

Episode VIII was the latest edition in the Star Wars franchise and it came out in late 2017. It earned a huge $1.322 with $619 Million of domestic earnings and $702 Million of international earnings.

8. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II

2011’s Harry Potter 8 ended the franchise on a high note as it grossed a humongous $1.341 Billion worldwide. It got in $381 Million in the United States and $960 Million internationally.

7. Avengers: Age of Ultron

2015’s Jurassic World created history as it beat the opening weekend earnings of The Avengers and went on to get in a massive $1.671 in total. It earned $652 Million in US and $1.019 Million internationally.

2015’s Star Wars was the biggest Disney movie ever as it grossed a ‘Hulk’ by bringing in $2.058 Billion worldwide. It got in a huge $936 Million domestically and $1.122 Million internationally.

2. Titanic

1997’s Titanic created history back the and held the reigns of the highest grossing movie of all time for more than 12 years. It grossed $2.208 Billion in total which was divided into $659 Million of Domestic Earnings and $1.548 Million of International earnings.
