Early Concept Art of Batman From Justice league Revealed

Justice League was yet another entry by WB into the mixed reviews section. Even though the movie was a step in the right direction as it got the characters absolutely right, it still kind of failed to gather a huge sum on the box office, and did not make much of a profit since the budget for the movie was huge. But, one of the shining factors of the movie was Ben Affleck’s Batman.

Fans were hyped about Batman as he got plenty of new Gadgets in the movie along with two new costumes. Batman is the one who actually gathered the Justice League in the movie and also had a big hand in bringing Superman to life. Even though we did not get technical details about his new gadgets and everything, we still got to see a lot of new stuff from his armory.

We have already seen 3 Bat-suits in Batman V Superman, where one is the regular suit that Batman wears, one is the mech-suit which he wears in order to take on Superman, and the third one was the Knightmare suit. Along with these, we saw the Bat-mobile and The Bat (plane) loaded with tonnes of weapons.

Justice League added a lot more to the movie. His first suit is a minor upgrade from his previous suit in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and a little more detailing and padding has been added to the suit and it looks even better than the previous one. His second suit, called the ‘Tactical Armor’ is the one which he wears in the movie in order to have an edge over the Parademons as it came with extensive padding which actually made Batman take heavy attacks which a normal human may not be able to sustain.

Along with the new suits, we got to see many new gadgets and vehicles in the movie. Firs, we got an upgraded Bat-mobile which had many new guns and weapons installed into it. Then we got to see the Night-crawler, which was used in the tunnel fight against Steppenwolf.

The last one was a prototype troop carrier called ‘The Flying Fox’ which was used to carry the team to Russia during the final act of the movie.

But, there was plenty of stuff that was not used in the movie. Apparently, the first suit which Batman was supposed to wear in the movie would have been a little different than what we got in the movie, as it was much more similar to the one we saw in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The artist behind one of the Bat-suit concept arts in Justice League, Jared S. Marantz recently revealed the early concept art for Batman’s look in the movie. It is actually close to what we saw, but Batman looks sleeker and ripped in this one, and the cowl is a little different from the neck and the ears. Here is what he wrote while posting the Concept art.

“Justice League Batman costume concept art done for costume designer Michael Wilkinson. There are a few things that changed by the time It got to the big screen. In Batman versus Superman we played around with the idea of armor plates showing through the suit and got to see that in the final justice league version. Batman is my favorite character and I always love working him.”

Affleck has played Batman in 3 movies, and the news around now says that he only has one movie left on his contract, and then he will be done as Batman. Many people believe that the last movie in which we will see him as Batman will be the upcoming Suicide Squad 2, which is believed to come out in 2019.

Rumours say that Matt Reeves is preparing for a standalone trilogy, and is looking to replace Ben Affleck as Batman and bring in Jake Gyllenhaal. Here is what Affleck said the last time when he was asked whether he would be returning as Batman or not.

“For me, it’s interesting, and I always evaluate this stuff on the merit of the material. I want to direct a Batman movie, and I never got a script that I was happy with, so they are starting over and writing another script. And right now, I think a lot of different possibilities I think for the way the DC Universe could go, and I will just follow my interests in pursing that. And I know that I love working with this group of people, and it was a real joy for me to make this movie.”

So what do you guys think about the concept art? Do you think it is better than what we got in the final movie? Tell us in the comments.
