The DCEU is finally on the right path and Wonder Woman was the one to make that happen. Now it feels like Justice League is on track to do even better and lead the DCEU towards its growth and progress. But, after Justice League, we have heard about so many projects being in development but we are very unsure at this point that what exactly is going to happen in the future of DCEU. Here are the predictions of what is going to happen next in the upcoming DC movies.
Flashpoint Will Be Scaled Back
Flashpoint is a Flash storyline where he goes back in time and saves his mom from dying creating an alternate reality. A lot happens in this alternate reality where the Amazonians and Atlanteans go to war which threatens humanity itself. Bruce Wayne dies and his father becomes Batman instead. people are worried that going straight away to Flashpoint may be a mistake and it is a solo movie so more focus would be on Barry Allen rather than the entire war event. This will bring down the impact caused by the movie.
Man of Steel 2 will introduce Supergirl
Many people believe that Supergirl already exists and might even show up in Justice League, but that seems highly unlikely. Man of Steel 2 is in play in the long run and it will surely introduce Supergirl, considering the popularity the character as gained because of the recent CW TV series.
Aquaman will lose a hand
After Justice League, the next movie in play is Aquaman and it is supposed to wipe out all the Aquaman jokes from the face of the earth. Aquaman already looks pretty bad ass and he has taken up more of a royal King look just like in the early comics and Justice League the animated series. And just like that he will surely lose a hand in his solo movie in the fight against his evil brother Orm.
Cyborg will be a Surprising hit critically
Cyborg is probably the youngest team member in the Justice League and his origin is a bit emotional. He looks great in the trailers and his solo movie has been slated for either 2020 or 2021. Like most people his age, Victor is image-conscious and is deeply insecure about his robotic appearance. With a body made up mostly of prosthetics, Cyborg has some major hurdles to overcome, and he will. Victor Stone is a role model, and if the movie can channel this message on-screen, he could be an inspiration to many and win plaudits for the DCEU.
Batgirl will be shot by Joker
A Batgirl movie will be under works as soon as Justice League is released and Joss Whedon will be ready to move on to his next project. Batgirl will be a story about Barbra Gordon’s adventures as she becomes the Bat vigilante and her journey to becoming Oracle. She becomes Oracle as she is crippled because the Joker shoots her and Batman: The Killing Joke Storyline follows.
The Batman will be full of villains
We do not know much about the upcoming Batman movie but till now, what we have heard is that the upcoming solo Batman movie starring Ben Affleck will be full of Batman’s rouges gallery including Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke and Jared Leto as the Joker. Also, an Under the Redhood story is in line since it has been confirmed that Jason Todd died in the events prior to Batman v Superman.
Natalie Dormer will play Poison Ivy
A Gotham City Sirens movie is also in play with David Ayer as the director. It is going to bring in all the female characters of Gotham including Harley Quinn, Catwoman and maybe even Batgirl who team up against Poison Ivy. Now, Natalie Dormer has shown her skills in GoT and as fans have pitched, she would be the perfect actor to play Poison Ivy.
Green Lantern Corps will include 3 Lanterns from Earth
Not much is known about Green Lantern Corps movie and it has only been pitched as a space cops story. Till now we knew that there would surely be at least 2 Green Lanterns from earth which are Hal Jordan and John Stewart. But now, as the movie is being set up on a greater scale, Kyle Rayner could also enlist in the Corps, ushering a trio of iconic heroes into the fold in one fell swoop.
Batman Beyond is in play
There have been news reports that WB is planning to make a Batman Trilogy with Ben Affleck as Batman and after that, a new franchise is supposed to begin, bringing in a new actor as Batman for the Batman Beyond storyline. So cool!
Shazam will fail 
Superhero movies don’t usually bomb. Even the most reviled ones are generally critic-proof, but David F. Sandberg’s Shazam is at risk of going down like Superman after a Kryptonite bullet to the head. There are various reasons as it is being set up as a very light-hearted movie and even though the tone would match SHAZAM’s character, it will not be similar to the darker and wider scope that the DCEU is built on. And the biggest reason the movie might fail is that Dwayne Johnson’s character Black Adam is not affiliated with the movie anymore.
