Spiderman vs Venom: Who Would Win and Why?

Spiderman vs Venom: Here’s Why Venom Will Kick Spidey’s Ass

Spiderman and Venom share a long comic-book history of being at two different ends. The character of Venom has featured in the Spiderman trilogy directed by Sam Raimi, but it seemed rushed and shoddy. In fact, the director Sam Raimi confessed the fact that he never wanted the in the last installment but studio meddled and forced him to include him, as a result, it turned out to be a disaster.

Since then there has been a lot of chatter about a possible Venom spin-off movie at Sony, but it went nowhere as he didn’t appear in the Amazing Spiderman franchise. Unfortunately, around the same time, Sony e-mail scandal surfaced which revealed how Sinister six possible spin-off was canceled as well.

But keeping aside the cinematic portrayals of Spiderman and Venom, Here’re 10 reasons why the anti-hero would win in a fair fight given their powers and abilities.

Venom Symbiote is adaptable

It has the power to evolve and adapt itself to different environments which explain so many versions of Venom, while Spiderman doesn’t change.

It can literally be Spiderman & more

It has the unique ability to embody all the abilities of his opponent which makes him an unstoppable monster.

Its powers fluctuate based on Host’s feelings

If the host has too much hatred for Spiderman, the powers of Venom sky-rocket which make it almost impossible for Spiderman to overcome such negative force.

It never runs out of web

Spiderman is able to throw web-slingers as he was bitten by a radioactive spider or sometimes he engineers web-shooters but we have witnessed in Sam Raimi trilogy that he ran out of webs once he doubted his abilities. On the other hand, it can never run out of webs as his suit can generate endless webbing.

It can Shapeshift

It allows Venom symbiote to blend in any environment and launch a surprise attack against Spiderman.

It can be Invisible

Unlike Spiderman, it’s symbiote can regrow injured limbs instantly which allows him to fight persistently.

Venom can transform itself into weapons

It’s symbiote allows its host to morph into deadly weapons which make him a killing machine.

It has genetic memory

It’s symbiote has the ability to pass on intellect and abilities of one host to another. Well, then the 18th host will have so many powers that Spiderman will be overwhelmed by the sheer force.

It can enter into the Internet

venomIn the story Carnage Unleashed, it uploaded itself on the internet to fight another Symbiote on the information highway. Spiderman can’t even imagine doing this.
