10 Reasons Why Justice League Could Beat The Avengers
The Avengers only grew popular as it was the first team up live-action movie that came in the theatres as part of the MCU. Before that, the only well known Superhero team was the Justice League, thanks to the animated TV series and the multiple animated movies that were released by Warner Bros.
The moment has finally arrived for the DC fans who have been waiting for so long to see their favorite superheroes on the big screen. Here’s the official trailer:
The Justice League movie has a strong ensemble cast including Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder-woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Mamoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). The movie is directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio based on the characters of DC comics. The story of Justice League will follow the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and mark the Phase 1 of DC Cinematic Universe. The movie will assemble the greatest DC superheroes under one roof against a terrifying adversary Steppenwolf.
At the end of the Batman v Superman, the Man of Steel was dead, while Batman and Wonder Woman had begun to assemble the Justice League, an elite team of superheroes to fight a supervillain Steppenwolf who has been awakened in the wake of events. The Steppenwolf is basically the military general of Darkseid who have sent parademons to interrogate/kidnap Batman and Earth’s scientists to retrieve Apokoliptian Motherbox which is the most powerful object in the realm.
There are two official synopsis, the first one is from the point of view of Ben Affleck’s Batman as he is responsible for putting together an elite team of superheroes to protect the planet from the ultimate destruction. This was also reflected in the first line of old synopsis.
Here’s the synopsis of JL:
“In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of meta-humans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions”.
But in the new synopsis, the role of Wonder Woman is shown to be prime. Here’s the new official synopsis:
“Once again, Wonder Woman must demonstrate her ability as a fierce warrior. Facing a great enemy, she and Batman join forces to recruit a group of meta-humans to stand against this newly awakened threat. Having formed an unprecedented League of heroes, they set out to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”
Here are the reasons why the Justice League is much better and stronger than the Avengers.
Darker Origins
When you consider the origin stories of the heroes like Superman, Batman, Cyborg and other members of the Justice league, you will find that they all became Superheroes because of the tragedies they had faced whereas the Avengers like Captain America and Spiderman would really find their powers as a gift. Darker Origins don’t mean that the heroes are much better, but it surely provides a hero more depth and conviction.
Defined Hierarchy
Everyone in the League knows that who is the leader of the team and they are no conflicts in the team. If you might have noticed, that the league is much more organised than the Avengers. Even though the Avengers know each other’s abilities well and try to use it to their advantage, still they will be eclipsed by the League’s big picture approach to the battle. There are always conflicts between the Avengers, and recently, Civil War caused a big rift in the team.
Powerhouse Fighters
You would not want to take on the Avengers as a whole, but when you separate the big fighters from the Team like Hulk and Thor, the cracks would start to show up. This is a fact that the Avengers do not have enough powerhouse fighters to match the Justice League. Except for Batman, all the members of the league are really hard hitters and Batman even without his powers has been able to take out the league alone, let alone the Avengers.
Aquaman’s Territory
Arthur Curry is one of the strongest and mightiest members of the League. He can swim at a speed of more than 6000 miles per hour and can summon the entire marine life. He would pose a major problem to the Avengers since he has control of over 70% of earth’s Area. Even on land he can hold his own and his trident can summon lightning and thunder power just as Thor’s Mjolnir.
Batman Would Outsmart Cap
Between the Justice league and The Avnegers, the most evenly matched contenders are certainly Captain America and Batman. Batman is as strong as a human can be and even though Captain Rogers in more powerful than him and can use his shield as an offense as well as defense, The Batman would already have plans to use his weaknesses, and given enough prep time, he might be able to take down the Avengers alone.
Superman would handle Hulk
The Hulk is the only one that would pose a real threat to the Justice League, but Superman would be the one who would take down the Hulk because of the Speed he has. The speed at which he flies would be impossible for the Hulk to match and Superman’s speed and agility, and his heat vision would be a real problem for the Hulk as it would ware him out. Superman’s strength is also more than the Hulk.
Wonder Woman Breaks Thor
This would be the sickest fight of all as it would be a battle of the Gods. Wonder Woman, the daughter of Zeus and the reincarnated God of War would pound the God of Thunder. She not only has the powers of Zeus but she herself is one supreme Goddess. She has the knowledge and fighting skills of her ancient ancestors who have lived long before the Asgardians, and the Intellect part was quite missing in Thor’s DNA.
Green Lantern’s Will and Ring
Armed with the Power Ring, Hal Jordon can pick apart the Avengers like Fish in a barrel. Heck, he can create whatever he imagines with that ring and in full form, he alone might be able to take down the Marvelous team without even using the help of the other Justice League Members.
There is a difference between ‘Assemble’ and ‘Unite’
At the time of a threat, the Avengers Assemble together in order to face the enemy. But, the Justice League is a team of very diverse heroes and they all Unite as one at the time of a fight. They not only come together because they want to but they actually unite just because they have no choice as they are the last line of defense for earth. Seeing the Justice League trailer actually proves that.
Superman and Flash will take all
After taking down the Hulk, Superman and Flash could take down the Avengers so fast that if people would have paid money to watch this fight, they would surely ask for a refund as it would be so quick. Matching the speeds of these two would be impossible for the Avengers and the variety of powers Superman has, there would be no surprise that he would beat the shit out of Avengers alone, turning them into pudding.
