Superman is undoubtedly the most powerful superhero from the DC Universe. Not just that, he has become a name for anyone having super strength, that is what an impact the guy has. But the people who are responsible for him becoming such a big hero are actually his foes. Here are the top foes of Superman:
Doomsday
Doomsday, as the name suggests is Superman’s Doomsday. He was created in order to kill Superman, which he even did bring probably the biggest shock of all in the comics when the seemingly unbreakable Superman died. He and Doomsday go all out, and it is in their final blow that they strike towards each other, having all their energy, which hits both at the same time with such intensity that at the end of the battle Doomsday is dead, and Superman dies a heroic death in the arms of Lois Lane.
General Zod
Superman has loads of powerful enemies from his home planet, Krypton. Be it Faora or Jax-Ur, all are on to killing Superman. But if there is someone who is the prime Kryptonian foe of the Man of Steel it has to be General Zod. A person of militant nature who wants to rebuild his home planet and take over the Earth, Zod is a true menace.
Joker
Though the Joker is not entirely an enemy of Superman what he did in Injustice is unforgivable. He made the Man Of Steel kill. He, when under the influence of a drug given to him by Joker, kills Lois Lane and his unborn child, that lead to the destruction of Metropolis, snaps. And that’s bad, he starts by killing Joker and then creates world peace by enforcing it and eventually has to be stopped by Batman who brings a Superman from an alternate universe.

Lex Luthor
One of the most iconic villains of the DC Lex Luthor is a billionaire who is actually what one would define as true hatred. The person hates aliens and Superman is specific so much that he has gone to every length to finish the Man Of Steel. Be it be=coming the president or carrying Kryptonite with him, even causing him cancer.
