Recently, the Web-Slinger, Tom Holland himself announced that he is indeed going to star in two more solo Spiderman movies within the MCU which will be the sequels to Spiderman: Homecoming.
Last year, Tom Holland’s Spiderman was brought into Marvel Cinematic Universe with an appearance in the epic battle between the team of heroes- Captain America Civil War. Fans loved his performance in Civil War and so he got his own Solo movie coming out this year.
Now, this deal between Sony and Marvel happened only because the two previous Spidey Franchises fell apart and Sony did not want to let go of the character.
Last year Tom Holland revealed that he is supposed to have 3 solo movies and 3 additional appearances in other movies in the MCU according to his contract.Until now he has got one appearance in Civil War and his first solo movie will hit theaters in July. He is going to return as Spiderman in Avengers Infinity War and its sequel and a sequel to Spiderman Homecoming has already been scheduled for July 5, 2019. The third Solo outing is yet to be confirmed by Marvel but in a recent Interview, Holland accidentally revealed that he is going to Explore Peter in the next two solo movies.
“There is still a lot of room for Peter Parker and Spiderman especially to grow in the next two movies. He is definitely not the finished article by the end of Spiderman: Homecoming and I really look forward to exploring the different ways he can grow up and go through puberty I guess. It’s going to be an exciting couple of movies… Yeah, there’ll be Spiderman 2 and 3, It won’t be Homecoming 2 & 3“
When he realized that he revealed it very straight forward, he apologized by adding “Sorry Marvel, whoops. That’s out.” Well, it is not confirmed by the Studios yet but if Spidey is going to be in High School for an entire trilogy, the Studios definitely will bring up the 3rd movie as soon as possible.
