Thor: Ragnarok nearly broke the internet with an amazing trailer which was released last month. The film is scheduled to release later this year and we have already seen some pretty amazing scenes in the trailer. We all know Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo will be playing a huge role in the film. But one name that has been missing from the scene has been that of Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster. Will she return to the Thor franchise?
Well, the director of Thor: Ragnarok tweeted the following,
Heed the signs. #Ragnarok pic.twitter.com/ug2crhTFtK

Look carefully we see Natalie Portman in the image and what is the hashtag he has used? “RAGNAROK”. Heed the signs. This tweet has many fans, all over the world perplexed. Many believe that this could mean Natalie Portman can return as Jane Foster. This would come out as a huge surprise as we all know how Natalie Portman revealed that she was done with the role of Jane Foster.
Here’s how it could happen. We saw Chris Evan’s Captain America in Thor: The Dark World created by Loki’s magic. We could be in for a similar scene in Ragnarok as well. Or, Thor might have a memory of her or just a photo. We will have to see for ourselves.
But here’s why it might not happen! We will see a new heroine, Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), a great warrior from Asgard in Thor: Ragnarok. In the comics, both Thor and Valkyrie have been pretty close in a relationship. This means that Valkyrie will be filling in the space for Jane Foster.
Over the years all the Thor fans have frowned upon Marvel for not exploring Thor and Jane Foster’s relationship and for those fans if Jane Foster never comes back to Marvel, it is really bad news.
Thor: Ragnarok releases globally on 3 November 2017.
