Did Marvel Nearly Fire Chris Hemsworth After Avengers: Age Of Ultron?

Marvel Cinematic universe has offered a wide range of superheroes that every fan can enjoy. Out of all the heroes, The avengers have no doubt gained the most popularity. And since all Marvel movies are interlinked, every hero has had a chance to team up with other Marvel heroes. So when Captain America: Civil War was released last year, all of The Avengers except two characters waged a war against each other. Many wondered where Thor and Hulk were and they weren’t the only ones. Even Chris Hemsworth had the same question.

marvelIn his interview with Entertainment Weekly, Chris Hemsworth confessed that the exclusion of his character actually made him speculate if Marvel was done with him. The actor said:

“I was like, ‘What? Are we being fired?’ Marvel quickly reassured us, ‘No you guys have got your own journey going on, and in order for that to work you can’t be a part of this one.’ Look, it turned out just perfect because we got to do a whole different kind of thing we wouldn’t have able to do otherwise.”

From Hemsworth’s statement, it looks as though Marvel runs a pretty tight shift when it comes to confidentiality. Hemsworth, of course, is still very much MCU’s Thor who will gear up for an intergalactic road trip adventure with The hulk, the other missing Avenger in Civil War. The third Thor film is expected to create a new phase in Thor’s life, as he battles Cate Blanchett’s character for Asgard as the threat of Ragnarok looms over them.

Thor: Ragnarok sees the character more vulnerable than we have seen him before as he searches for his father Odin and loses the weapon he is most known for, Mjolnir. The surprising events that take in the movie will definitely prepare Thor for what looms ahead for him and the Avengers as they battle Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, a film that definitely needs the hero’s powers and might for.
