The Australian superstar Hugh Jackman is very emotional about playing Logan in the soon to be released movie directed by James Mangold, which is going to be his last stint as the iconic character. He has given over a decade of his life to this character, and have played it like a boss. He has been revered by both critics and fans for his masterful performances in successive X-Men movies. It’s almost unimaginable to even think of any other actor besides Hugh Jackman to bring this character to life on screen. It’s confirmed that his character is inspired by “Old Man Logan” story based on dystopian future.
Hugh Jackman is not the only one who is going to hang his boots from X-Men franchise, Patrick Stewart hinted to his fans that the upcoming Wolverine movie could be his last stint as the character Professor X. But, now he believes that it’s possible that he may pop up again in future X-Men films, as he was killed off once and he still returned. He recently said that he has no interest in leaving X-Men universe which directly contradicts his previous stance where he said that probably this is the end for his character Prof. Charles Xavier. Well, Ian McKellen (who played Magneto) expressed his desire to be part of the movie Logan. In the recent appearance at The Graham Norton Show, he jokingly replied to a question on why he isn’t part of the movie:
“Do you know, I think when you get to my age, you want to leave aside those tired old franchises. You know, move onto something fresh and new… I sometimes cry myself to sleep about it. I simply don’t know why I’m not in it darlings. Could you not do another one? You could just leave this one out! [pointing at Patrick Stewart] It’s time you died! And as I recall, you did die in one of the movies. But he’s resurrected!” It would have been epic had he actually been cast for the movie.
The movie will be released on March 3, 2017.
