Marvel Cinematic Universe has been known for bringing one trend into their films. Like the Marvel comics before it, the studio tends to bring together two or more superheroes together on screen. Next year will see two major releases- Thor Ragnarok and Guardians Of The Galaxy: Vol 2- which may have a connection or a tie-in for Marvel’s other upcoming film Avengers: Infinity War.
According to Schmoes Knows, both Thor Ragnarok and GOTG will feature The Elders of the Universe. The Elders will be the reason that motivates Star Lord to find his missing father Ego the Living Planet. The site alleges that four Elders will be seen in Guardians-The Collector, Ayesha, and two unnamed figures played by Sharon Stone and Sylvester Stallone. The Collector had already been featured in the first Guardians film, played by Benicio Del Toro.
In the comics, Ayesha is not an Elder, but a scientifically created being. Originally called Paragon, she was artificially created by an organization known as Enclave. She is the second being to be made after Adam Warlock, who was very involved with Thanos and his quest for Infinity Stones. The site alleges her character will morph a bit for the movie as will Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone’s characters as the movie will deem fit for the screen.
The site alleges that Ragnarok will also feature an Elder. The Grandmaster is said to be an Elder, although he will be an exiled one who will appear as the Overseer of the Gladiatorial Games on the planet Ragnarok. The Grandmaster will be played by Jeff Goldblum in the film.
In the comics, The Elders are a group of very ancient aliens who are all powerful. They are known to be oldest sentient creatures in the entire universe. They monitor the happenings of the Milky Way galaxy with varying success.
